And Bassem Youssef says it loud : Bring it on

Tonight I will not be lying to say that millions waited anxiously for Bassem Youssef and his show to see what he was going to say and man he said loud and proud : Bring it on bitches.
In one of the best and explosive Youssef and his team opened fire on Morsi, the prosecutor general , the Muslim brotherhood and Qatar. Yes Qatar and it was like no other criticism ever made to the Small yet powerful and rich ambitious Gulf state. Let’s just say Qatar unfortunately tasted the Egyptian bitter criticism with my all respect to the Qatari people.
Here is the full episode. Unfortunately it is not translated.
Bassem Youssef’s The show “ep20”
I do not have to bet that not less hundred model citizen will report Bassem for insulting Qatar and its people tomorrow. I do not have to bet that all the Qatari media machine including Al Jazeera and its subsidies including Al Jazeera International.
Here is the song alone about Qatar. It is the special “The Show” cover of the 1960s Nasser’s Pan Arabism immortal anthem “My beloved Arab Homeland” by Mohamed Abdel Wahab and a group of icons in music during that time. “My beloved Qatar , whose money and investment getting bigger and bigger” the Show’s writers nailed it for real.
Watch after the break.
Bassem Youssef : My beloved Qatar
Now Bassem ended the episode mentioning all those detainees and those facing both military and civilian trials from activists and artists like Mohamed Sabry , April 6th Youth detainees, Karim Gamal and Ali Quandil. These guys need your support. Bassem contacted Mona Seif himself and requested the names of the detainees.
Trivial fact : Hamdeen Sabbhi attended the episode.

#Hala’ib Triangle back to the spot : Some things need clear and Urgent statement

Ok aside from Bassem Youssef episode on Friday , Salafists’ protest at the Charge d’ affaires residence to Liberals and Upper Egyptians protests in solidarity with the Sheikh of Al Azhar , we have another thing to debate about on Friday’s night : What President Morsi said regarding disputed Hala’ib triangle during his visit in Sudan.

Al Jazeera official website in Arabic published that Al Bashir’s assistant Nafe’a Ali Nafe’a said that President Morsi promised to return back things in Hala’ib triangle to what they had been pre-1995.

In 1995 Egyptian armed forces restored back the disputed cities to Egypt.

There were no more details on how things will return back or what will happen so people thought that Morsi was going to give up Hala’ib triangle to Sudan especially the Freedom and Justice News portal posted a news without Hala’ib in our borders the map “at least showing it as disputed”

Anyhow after few hours we found  ambassador Ehad Fahmy , the official spokesperson of presidency denying what Al Jazeera publishing on TV saying the President did not speak about Hala’ib in his visit and that Hala’ib triangle is an Egyptian region.

Unfortunately people do not know what to believe and it is not a secret that they do not trust the presidency in Cairo so easily.

I believe the Egyptian presidency should act quickly and issue a statement about what happened in Khartoum regarding this particular issue. Some things should not wait till the morning.

The thing is the Muslim brotherhood really believe that it does not matter if Hala’ib triangle was following Egypt or Sudan or even Turkey as all this is part of the Islamic Nation.

By the way it is not a secret that Hala’ib triangle is a military zone in Egypt so if by any chance Morsi spoke with the Sudanese officials giving them any kind of promise this would create another problem between presidency and the army.

I think I spoke about Hala’ib triangle in this blog for year and the implications of such case on the Egyptian Sudanese relation before. I remember that I used the old books in my search and it did generate huge discussion.

Today is April 6 , it is the anniversary of a great political and social event that many believe to be the real introduction for 25 January Revolution : The April 6 Strike in Mahalla and rest of Egypt especially in Cairo.

Today the April 6th Youth movement is celebrating this day with its two fronts in its own way : Protesting against President Morsi and the Muslim brotherhood. In another words to bring down the regime once again.

In Cairo and Giza there will be at least four rallies organized by April 6 : Shubra roundabout and Siyada Zeinab square “Cairo” and Mostafa Mahmoud square and Imbaba “Giza”. I do not know to where these rallies will head up till now. Most probably to Tahrir square. These rallies should start at 4 PM but from what I see in Cairo the April 6th Youth Movement members are starting early and are having small stands in different areas whether in Downtown at the Stock market or the presidential palace.

There will be other rallies in other governorates and cities like in Alexandria,Damietta   Mansoura, Suez and Mahalla.

Other parties and movements are participating in the rallies too like Free Egyptians Party.

The main demands of these rallies according to the statement of the movement issued on Thursday is to :

  • To dismiss this government
  • To dismiss the prosecutor general
  • To release all the detainees of peaceful protesting and political opinion.
  • To restructure the MOI.

Some people hope that day will the start of bring down the Muslim brotherhood and even have called today “The Day of wrath

You must know that the April 6th Youth Movement has been accused for months now of being supportive to the Muslim brotherhood and one of their tools.

Now to keep it up with the rallies and what will happened tonight , here is a live storify report.

#Abassiya3 : Playing with Fire again and Again

Just from moments ago it was announced that Mahrous Henna Ibrahim passed away in Damdrush hospital. Ibrahim was injured in his neck. He was shot allegedly by live ammunition. He passed away at the ER.
Wassfey was shot in his neck while covering the funeral of the Khosous Christian victims at Saint Mark Cathedral in Abassiya earlier today. You probably know that there were sectarian violent clashes between Muslims and Christians in Al Khosous town in Qalyubia governorate on Saturday that resulted in 9 fatalities from both sides.
The ambulance authority stated that there are about 21 injured in the clashes. OF course unofficially there is a field hospital inside the Cathedral.
I will not go in to much details but today was supposed to be the funeral of the Christian victims “6 Victims”. The day started peaceful sad one at the Saint Marks Cathedral , the HQ of the Egyptian Coptic Church papacy itself. According to the activists who attended the funeral there were not too many mourners like in Maspero massacre funeral.
After the funeral procession began to move the people suddenly found the angry people attacking them clashes with rocks and Molotov cocktails from side streets then the security forces entered and hell broke loose for real. The Christians were forced back to the Cathedral and security forces showered the area with tear gases as the same time those so-called unknown attackers who were not stopped by the security forces as we have seen on TV screens for hours.
The newspapers and TV channels showed young men with arms and rocks on the roofs buildings including the cathedral in a nasty street fight.
It is worth to mention that the first Ministry of interior’s statement blamed the mourners in the funeral and claimed that they started the fight.
The so-called Islamists on twitter say that the Christians were chanting inside the church chants against Islam , the president and MB as well chants saying Egypt is originally Coptic on TV and that this is what allegedly provoked the Muslim locals of Abassiya.
I have not seen the chants or the funeral itself as I have been sick all morning. I followed it through twitter.Of course from what I see from photos and eye witnesses the locals are more like thugs with handmade guns. Already I wonder how many of them watched ONTV Live and CTV as well Christian TV channels
Today the security forces threw tear gases inside the cathedral.Today according eye witnesses, according to live broadcast of TV channels the security forces from police did nothing except watching those so-called unknown assailants
There are hundreds of Egyptian Christians inside the Cathedral , many of them are women and children as today is Sunday. From what I understood many families are staying now in the Cathedral’s theater for safety reasons singing hymns asking for protection.
It seems that Abassiya will have bad reputation after three major clashes with others starting with Revolutionary protesters then
Ironically in the past Abassiya was a cosmopolitan area full of Egyptians, Arabs and foreigners as well Muslims , Christians and Jews with too sects living peacefully. Again this in the past. There is no doubt after three clashes the locals played a vital role in beating the other if not killing him, we have to wonder about why the locals of Abassiya allow this to happen in their area.
I will not jump in to the wagon of conspiracy theories and start the game blame , I see clearly that police and the ministry of interior are directly responsible for this disaster, for this fire.
Of course I can not ignore how some mainly from the Islamists are playing with fire for days now. Since April 3, 2013 so-called Islamist tweeps like Abdel Rahman Ezz launched a Hashtag about the #Church_Militia.
Now these Islamists like Ezz are accusing the Christians of accusing these tensions to affect the visit of the EU officials today to Cairo. These Islamists are the supporters of Morsi and the members of the Muslim brotherhood.
President Morsi as usual called the Pope from short time ago according to the Presidency where he assured him that he does not accept these attacks and he ordered the fast investigations to arrest those attackers.
Any attack on the cathedral is an attack on me personally !!
Morsi told Pope that !! I wonder what the supporters of Morsi will think about that !!
Mr. President Please check your supporters because they are sectarian seriously speaking and will not hesitate in starting a civil sectarian war in Egypt
Here is the storify report with all the updates and photos. I have to apologize because I have been sick all day.

Will There Be A Civil War Between Muslims and Christians ? Send to us the answer in SMS !!!

What you read in the headline has been actually aired in the news bar in the Hafez TV channel last night.
In the news bar "by Mohamed Ali"
For hours on air the infamous so-called Islamist channel "It is insult to Islam more than anything" published an important question and asked its viewers to send their answers.
"Will there be a civil war between Muslims and Christians !?" Please send your SMS on 94172
Seriously !? Civil war !?
It is worth to mention the CEO of the channel and its main host Atef Abdel Rashid was invited and seated beside the minister of information last week in that conference about media's freedom and future in Egypt.
Is not this incitement !?? Is not this a direct danger on the so-called social peace and National security !!?

Egyptian X-Files : The Fate of Those Men Disappeared in #Sinai

$

0
In the early days of the revolution between 28 January and 2 February 2011 three police officers and one policeman “Amin Shorta” disappeared with no trace in North Sinai. The names of the police officers are : Sherif El Madawy “27 years old” , Mohamed El Gohary “25 years old” and Mohamed Hussien “25 years old”.
The three officers
For two years there have been many rumors and theories about the fate of those 4 men. Some say that they were killed , others say that there are kidnapped either by Hamas or Jihadists or Israeli forces or Smugglers. For two years the families of these officers know nothing about them regardless of how much they plead nearly everybody. For two years we do not know if they were dead or not , for two years their families knocked all doors but in vain. They have become one of the revolution’s X-File.
The wives of the disappeared men met with President Morsi last February and all what they got was a presidential to help them in their lives including legal help to get their life on. “Either to get divorce from court or to officially announce their husbands missing officially so they can get married if they want !!!!”
Now last week one of the officers’ wives announced that it is giving presidency , intelligence and ministry of defense a week to declare the fate of her husband and his comrades or she will expose scandals on how the MB infiltrated the intelligence and the army.
Mrs. Doaa Rashad, the wife of officer claimed on TV last week that she got documents on how the MB infiltrated and the intelligence. She said that she got these documents from extremely trusted source.
Doaa Rashad and her claim on ONTV channel last week
Mrs. Rashad is already saying that she knows where her husband and his follow officers are alive. She is claiming also that she knows that they are currently in Gaza in some underground prison after being abducting by Hamas.
Doaa Rashad met with military intelligence officers at the Military intelligence HQ this week and knew from them that the men are still alive !!
Another wife is saying that the men are alive. Mrs. Shereen El Ashry claimed that some high security informed source told her that her husband is alive and that his release will need Morsi’s direct intervention !! According to what El Ashry allegedly was told their location was identified but the army can not do anything to them !!
Of course this claim again indirectly refers to Hamas whether you like or not.
The accusation against Hamas is repeated again with what Al Watan newspaper published last week on how these men were abducted by Hamas and are allegedly kept in street “Omar Al Mokhtar” in Gaza according to some security informed source. The newspaper and its unknown source added that the officers are being used by Hamas as pressure paper against the Egyptian army and intelligence to stop them from destroying the tunnels between Egypt and Gaza.
Hamas officially is denying that it is responsible for the abduction from its die. Some unnamed Palestinian leading figure in unnamed Palestinian group “I will assume it is Hamas” told Ahram Arabic portal that the police officers were actually killed and the army as well the intelligence know that every well. That leading figure added that the officers were killed in some sort of revenge operation thing between the tribes and the police force in North Sinai.
Well I can buy this but I know that the tribes do not kill in secret , also where are their bodies all that time !?
By the way why all the focus is the on the police officers and not on the low ranking policeman who disappeared with them !?
Personally as Egyptian citizen I demand to know the fate of those three officers today before tomorrow. I demand to know the truth as Egyptian citizen from the Intelligence , the ministry of defense , the ministry of interior and the Presidency.
I do not understand why we can not know the fate of those Egyptian citizens, those humans and spare their families all that agony !! I do not care that much now for the on going fight between MB and its branches in presidency and Gaza and the Egyptian National security institutions now as much as I care for those humans and their families. Israel launched a war and exchanged thousands of prisoners for the sake of one person for God sake !!
This is another Egyptian-X file and yet again the answer is surely known for those responsible for our national security.

The Shocking Video of the day : What I knew

$

Do you know when you see a video in the beginning of the day that turns you off for the rest of the day !? This is what happened to me today when I started my day watching a clip showing girls stripped from cloth and on the verge of rape in daytime while men are shouting "Allah Akbar" and "Christians, Christians"
It is terrifying video , shocking one on too many levels. For a girl regardless her religion to face those creatures in daytime while the whole world is watching. For Egyptian I am so disgusted and angry from our men while they would watch such act in front of their eyes.
For a Muslim to see those bastards that should be hanged according to Islamic laws doing this while screaming "Allah Akbar". I am furious
Anyhow as part of my job and part of myself I began to dig for the truth behind the video and thank God I have a friend from Qena with lots of contact in Nag Hammadi. The first description mentioned below the video claimed that it was filmed in Nag Hammadi. He contacted Bishop Kirollos , the head of Nag Hammadi Bishopric and he denied completely that a similar case took place in Nag Hammadi or its surrounding villages. Bishop Kirollos is known for being outspoken and he was not silent on incidents against Christians.
Some believed that it was an old video from 2009 during sectarian fights in another city , the city of Farshout.
It is worth to mention that the first person to upload that video today was James Knowing ,now the video is removed and his channel does not exist anymore. There is very empty Google + profile for Knowing.

Before closing the channel
His only contact is SickOfThisCrap who is sharing the video. Sick of this crap from the States hates Islam and Muslims to the end of that talk. Of course the video is like a treasure for him.

How To Start a Sectarian Crisis : Search For Ignorance And Lack of state !!

$

Now it turns that those who are responsible for the sectarian clashes in El Khousos that led to the death of not less than 6 another round of sectarian clashes in Abbasiya and death of another 2 are two Muslim kids . Yes Muslim kids !!

Ahmed “12 years old” and Saleh”13 years old” were the one who drew the Swastika on the Religious Islamic Azhar institute ‘This was how it started’. The two kids drew the Swastika and wrote their names besides it. They say that they do not know what it really meant. Indeed their names were beside the Swastika with the same color yet nobody paid attention or may be it was only trigger for the anger in the small poor city to explode.

Journalists including dear friends attempting to find the truth went there and found out that there were some kind of sectarian tensions in the area that could have been resolved if there is a true state of law.

Muslims complain that a Christian man from a big family owns the gas cylinder distribution warehouse and they suspected that he was favoring the Christians over the Muslims when it comes to gas cylinders in time of shortage.

Egypt now suffers extreme gas problem and the working poor class is the one that harmed mostly.

They also found out that there was a Muslim man who was harassing Christian lady from a big family there from several months and that the Christian family has not forgotten that yet.

Moving to the Shocking video that spread last Tuesday. Well it turned to be an old video that goes back to year 2009 indeed specifically in the city of Farshout ,Qena.

The infamous sectarian clashes in Farshout  in November and December 2009 sparked when a Christian man was accused of raping a 12 years Muslim girl. This incident led to clashes and displacements of several Christian families. It turned out that members of the girl’s family “or clan if we are speaking in Upper Egyptian term” wanted revenge and waited for Christian women to come out of Church there to attack them barbarically like in attempt to avenge for the girl in the most disgusting way.

Already I know two journalists from there who witnessed the whole thing including a Christian one. .

Whether it is old or new video I believe that those attackers should presented to justice but unfortunately we are speaking about the lawless Upper Egypt.

Now I must say and hint out that many Egyptian Christians were the ones who exposed that this video was old one and that it was extremely alarming to have it now.

I think it will be a sign of end of days when Upper Egypt gives up its tribal clan laws for the state of law for real !!!

If you search deeper you will not find religion is not the problem here as much the lack of the state of law and justice with the spread of ignorance and poverty that produce hatred towards other.

Now speaking about sectarianism for real I think the Muslim brotherhood should do something about their youth who ask people whether they are in favor of searching churches for arms. I also wonder why few days prior to the clashes in Khousos we find Pro-MB figures and members on twitter launching the hashtag of “#Church_Militias” in Arabic on twitter.

I want a real explanation on why the MB members and not leading figures speaking to foreign media responsible for Ikhwan Web speak like that.

Last Wednesday Egyptian Presidency announced that Egyptians can send their questions on “Ask_president_Morsi” hashtag on twitter so President Morsi can answer those questions after an hour from launching the hashtag.
Of course most of the tweets came offensives and comic too. Still the presidency team was careful in what they chose from questions.  I will not comment , I will leave to you the comment on the president’s answers. "Thanks to Dr. Nermeen Bedair and Abdel Moneim Mahmoud that took screen capture for the tweets, Bedair took the first 5 while Mahmoud took a screen capture of the last one."

@Cestlavie_egy : Why do not you Dr. Morsi announce a plan to restructure the MOI ? The MOI has got corrupted officials Mr. President and they make you fail everyday and defame your image in front of the people.

“Honk if you hate the MB” this was what written on a banner held by a high school student called Omar yesterday in one of the busiest streets in Nasr City yesterday and people did it in the traffic.

Here is a short video clip filmed by

Honk if you hate the MB

Omar is the one of the admins of a Facebook Page called “Your ID is Egyptian” and to be honest this generation gives me hope even with these simple protesting things.

I read that April 6 Youth Movement is going to adopt this and has already adopted today in the Friday protests which I no longer follow because they have become a daily routine losing its meaning.

The tale of two trials : #Mubarak and #Hassan_Mostafa

$

Today we had two trials in the morning both are significant and both will make you think a lot of how things developed in Egypt in those two years.
Today was the start of Mubarak’s retrial. Yes after so many months we see Mubarak , the ousted ex-president who was sentenced 25 years life in jail for failing to protect the protesters last Summer. His appeal was accepted and today was his retrial. Surprisingly he looks amazing and healthy , even more cheerful for a person who was transferred from Tora prison to Maadi military hospital clinically dead !!

Leaving Maadi military hospital today to the court
It seems that he is being taken care off in Maadi military hospital after all . His spirit was extremely high to the level of smiling and waving to the camera.
Waving to the camera with all confidence "ONTV"
His sons Gamal and Alaa were there sans Holy Quran unlike previous trial, already I do not know why there were there. It was not their case according to my knowledge. They are not involved in the killing of protesters. I think this is the first time a defendant is allowed to bring companions with him !!

Habib El Adly was there with all confidence saluted by some beard man as usual whom the MOI said to be Mohamed Ismail El Shaer , the son of the infamous Ismael El Shaer the head of Cairo directorate. The MOI is claiming that Mohamed El Shaer resigned from his work in the state security. Ok if Mr. Mohamed El Shaer is no longer an officer , what did he do in the trial today !??
Now it was really short session because the judge and the judges’ panel have stepped down from the case. Thus the case will be back to the appeal court till we got a new panel.
The judge who stepped down is actually the one who acquitted all defendants in the battle of the camel. This is why many revolutionaries welcome the decision. Farid El Dib is claiming that the judge is sick and that’s why he stepped down.
Thus the trial is adjourned to the summer.
Of course there were scuffles outside the court as usual in New Cairo between Mubarak’s supporters aka Mubarak’s children and the families of the martyrs.
A supporter holding the photo of Mubarak by Bel Trew
Mubarak's supporters kissing his freaky doll !!
No activists have been there because they are in Alexandria attending another trial.
The other trial is the trial of the famous Alexandrian activist Hassan Mostafa. That activist is from the reasons why we know the case of Khaled Said from two years old. He was the one who exposed how state security officers  were burning documents in their SS headquarter. Last 25 January 2013 there were clashes at the court in Alex between the families of the martyrs in Alex and the security officers in the killing of the protesters trial there. Hassan Mostafa was arrested during the clashes and was accused of assaulting a prosecutor. According to the official papers of his case his so-called assault on the prosecutor turned his cheeks in to red !! Yes this is what officially documented in the case !! I would assume that Mostafa is accused slapped the prosecutor from that description !!
Mostafa was sentenced two years in jail for this charge.
Mostafa’s lawyer demanded the case to be adjourned despite he proved that one of the witnesses that testified against Hassan was lying. He claimed that the person who assaulted the prosecutor had long hair where as Mostafa is bald !!
Many activists from Cairo and Alexandria protested in solidarity of Hassan Mostafa today during the trial and after it was over they headed in a rally to his house.
The rally in Alexandria "Salma Said"
The trial of Mostafa is adjourned to the 4th of May 2013.
According to those who met with Hassan , he was smiling.
On the same day we have  two different trials for two different contradicting characters in two cities. I do not know to say if you see these trials and think carefully about what is taking place in Egypt, you will find them a reflection. After two years of ousting Mubarak , his regime does not suffer or even end while the ones who are paying the price are the activists who refused his dictatorship and the MB dictatorship.
By the way controversial prosecutor general Talaat Abdullah has order the Maadi hospital to send a report regarding Mubarak’s health condition in order to return him back to Tora prison.
The fantastic Doaa Adel drew this cartoon about Mubarak's trial today
The natural evolution of the century's trial :
1- Right After the revolution
2- During the transitional period
3- Under the MB rule

Does the Anti-Narcotics administration know about this website !?

I do not know if I blogged about this website or not but there is a website that suddenly appeared out of no where on internet sharing the prices of Hashish all over Egypt. The website is called “El 7Ashesh Bkam” { How much is the hashish price now ?}

Yes all over Egypt you can the prices and dealers of hashish in Egypt. Amazingly the website got a twitter account and Facebook Page.

Hashish is illegal in Egypt and we got here the names of the dealers in different areas so I wonder what is the position of the famous Anti-Narcotics general administration in the ministry of interior from this website ???!!!?

I know that the department is active , at least this is what I get when I read from two days ago that the oldest anti-narcotics police department in Africa published its annual report for year 2012. It announced that in 2012 it busted 12 tons of Hashish ,77 tons of Marijuana and 435 millions narcotics pills especially the Tramadol.

Mubarak’s trial : You know this was going to happen so why a sad face !?

So the criminal court in New Cairo ordered the release of Mubarak in the Killing of the protesters but he will remain in prison pending investigation in other corruption cases. It was expected and purely procedural and got nothing to do with the evidence.
Judge Ahmed Atia Abu Shosha from the real reformist judges in Egypt explained the court ruling :

Releasing Mubarak has nothing to do with how strong or weak the evidence is , the issue is completely procedural. The maximum limit for temporarily detention is two years and thus according to the law he had to be released.
An info : Mubarak is still facing charges of killing the protesters , these charges’ penalties reach to execution. Releasing him will not affect other cases. The idea is about representing evidences to prove these accusations.
Judge Abu Shosha predicted this already last week so I do not know why people are overacting.
Of course many indications and leaks say that he will be acquitted because there is no real evidence incriminating him for real as all these months his people were doing a great job especially in time of SCAF.
Mubarak has not been acquitted yet. He is still waiting for the new judges panel in the killing of the protesters case. He is also facing other cases as you know.

We know this is the price we will be paying for not having a revolutionary court. It is a curse and a bless as the same time. The Mubarak supporters are flying over the moon gloating and living their dream that Mubarak is coming back along with his regime. Some pro-Revolutionaries in social media are feeling sad and despair actually as if the revolution is defeated !!
Anyhow the MB and its members are turning the whole in their advantage as usual claiming that the Mubarak’s judiciary system is responsible and that it must be purged !! It is interesting when you relate this to the Controversial statements of former MB guide Mahdy Akef in Kuwaiti newspaper Al Jarida from couple of weeks ago. The outspoken MB leading figure claimed that not less than 3000 judge will be forced to retirement.
The MB is trying to push a new Judiciary authority law where the age of retirement will be lowered.
Already the MB Pro-Pages began to call the people to protest against the judiciary next April 26,2013.
It is not about the judge in the case of Mubarak. In fact the judge did what he should have done. He did it according to the book. If there is a problem in Mubarak and his cronies’ cases , it will be in the prosecutor general office. Morsi and the MB claimed the new prosecutor general who was appointed illegally will announce more cases and more incriminating evidence against Mubarak regime and yet since last November 2012 we have seen nothing except promises. The one thing for sure is that the prosecutor general appointed by Morsi is active against journalists, TV hosts and protesters more than Mubarak and his cronies.

#Hala’ib Triangle Again and Again

We want to know what Mohamed Morsi promised the Sudanese officials regarding Hala’ib triangle during his visit to Khartoum because what we hear from the Sudanese officials needs a stand. Yes the issue is back again resurfacing after the Presidential Statement about Hala’ib triangle and the army hints here and there that it will not allow a single inch of our territories to be taken away from Egypt. The presidency claimed that Morsi did not speak about the disputed triangle at all during his talks with the Sudanese counterparts.

The last leak was the most powerful one from them all , from the meeting between Morsi and SCAF members above them El Sissi from couple of days ago.

People are alarmed in Egypt after the statements of Sudanese minister of environment on Monday in Alexandria.  Sudanese minister of environment Hussein Abdel Kader told Egyptian reporters while attending some conference in Alexandria that Hala’ib triangle is Egyptian Sudanese common land “which is true” and that there should be projects in the triangle under Sudanese administration. “He repeated this as you can see in the video below”

Minister of environment in Sudan : Hala’ib and Shalateen are Egyptian Sudanese territories

MENA , the official news agency on the same day published that the minister hopes the return of of Hala’ib and Shalateen to Sudan ‘He did not say so in the video’.

The thing is that people are now digging the MB archives and knowing how the MB as a group does not recognize borders especially between Islamic countries with Islamist rulers from their own point view like Sudan , people are worried.

Mahdy Akef speaks about Hala’ib

Here is an old video for former MB guide Mahdy Akef saying that it does not matter whether Hala’ib under Egyptian rule or Sudanese rule as we are all Muslims. Well the man did not lie and this is how the MB members think.

What I fear of that this issue with current Anti-MB sentiment feelings in public can create anti-Sudanese sentiments just like the there are these anti-Gazan sentiments . Many Egyptians now believe that Hamas is going to invade Sinai and at the same time is helping Mohamed Morsi by creating chaos in Egypt.

Of course Hamas leaders deny any involvement in Egypt or that they want Sinai but Sudanese officials do not deny that they want Hala’ib triangle.

Now the poor rich triangle needs a post , yes I want to go there but unfortunately not now. But my friends have gone and I think I will ask them if I am able to use the material they got from photos.

And I knew that was going to happen !! The Battle between #MB and Judiciary is on Folks

The Muslim brotherhood has become more than predictable , seriously speaking they have become like a cult film’s plot which you can know its end so easily. I told you that the Muslim brotherhood will use the Mubarak’s release order in order to push for their own agenda against Judiciary. It started with few Pro-MB pages and now they declared officially : They will go to the square to purge the bad judiciary !!
The Muslim brotherhood announced on its official page that it was going to protest next Friday “April 19,2013” for the following demands :
  1. To demand the Shura council to issue the judicial authority law that allegedly achieve judicial independence.
  2. To purge all the state’s institutions from corruption
  3. To demand the trial of all those responsible for the murder of the revolutionaries as well to put the former regime members responsible for spoiling the political life in Egypt on trial.
  4. To work on restore Egypt’s stolen money abroad.
The MB will protest at the prosecutor general office which is at the Supreme court. This means that the MB members will be mobilized.
The proposed the judicial authority law will force 3500 judges in to retirement because it lowers the retirement age to 60 years old.Amazingly as I hinted in the previous post which I added it link above the former MB guide Mahdi Akef said to Kuwaiti newspaper from two weeks ago that nearly 3000 judges will be forced in retirement soon.
Interestingly on April 6 ,2013 the MB issued a statement claiming what Akef said was media fabrication “the interview was recorded” that the MB was not drafting a law that will force thousands of judges in to retirement. The statement claimed that that bad rumor was spread by Mubarak’s regime to turn judiciary against the brotherhood !! I can not believe the amount of lies.
It is as if the Muslim brotherhood is reviving Nasser’s worst legacy ever. It is like their own their judges massacre. To read more about the judges massacre of 1968, you can go back to the Egyptian Chronicles’ archives as well the Judges Club’s entry in Wikipedia. Ironically the judges Nasser dismissed in 1968 were over 200 judges and they were reinstated again where as the MB will see the law to force over 3000 judges in to retirement.  Ironically my source in the 2006 post was judge Ahmed Mekki who wrote its history in Al Masry Al Youm and now after 6 years Minister of Justice Ahmed Mekki will oversee the new massacre. Alas for real !!
The Muslim brotherhood does not really want to purge the judiciary from corruption but rather make it another arm from its arms.
By the way today hours before that statement would be announced officially , I found the members of the MB on twitter announcing that next Friday they are going to protest in Egypt’s squares to purge the judiciary. The leading figures in MB and Freedom and Justice started working on making their members support the upcoming battle.
Here is Hassan Ibrahim , the secretary general of Freedom and Justice Party saying on his FB page that one of the reasons why 25 January revolution took place was to stop the control of the executive power over other powers and that people after the revolution will not accept any power or authority to force its power against its popular will. He added that The people are the sources of all powers and authorities.
A screen capture for Hassan Ibrahim's status
Populism always sells.
Scary enough , the agent of chaos and the omen of death before any protest MB youth leading figure Ahmed El Mogheer“they deny that he is one of them” told Al Watan that they “MB” will purge the judiciary and the media peacefully but they will have martyrs !!
El Mogheer : Some of us will die as martyrs
Watch this guy people , whenever he opens his mouth people do die and get killed.
Now here is what will happen in the Weekend. The MB will protest on Friday. On Saturday either the Shura council will approve the law or Morsi will issue some badass decisions. BY the way the elected President will have his fire live interview next Saturday night …on none other than Qatari Al Jazeera TV channel.

Carmen Weinstein's Funeral : A Dying Community rememberred

Right now the Jewish community in Egypt is holding the funeral of Carmen Weinstein , the late head of the community. The funeral and memorial service are held in an annex of Cairo's Sha'a Hashamayim Synagogue aka Adly Synagogue.
There is a huge surprising media presence as well security presence where those invited to the funeral have to show their IDs. I am surprised to see such media presence as I knew from a friend who is attending the funeral it was private event.
Anyhow the security presence can be explained by the fact that there are VIPs including the Israeli ambassador attending the funeral. The Israeli ambassador already returned to Cairo yesterday after nearly month working in Israel.
Now Rawah Badrawi is attending the funeral and is sharing with us what is happening , I storify her tweets.
Late today I will speak about Magda Haron the new head of the Jewish community.

GIS in Campus , yes it is official after the revolution

Strange thing that this new has passed away in silence since last January 2013.

In last January 2013 I found this strange news “Ain Shams University uses the intelligence to face the spread of arms inside campus”. According to what was said then the General intelligence in Egypt“GIS” would supply Ain Shams University“ASU” with metal detector gates and to secure the university’s entrances and exists. The deal will include training the security of university to fight thuggery.
Of course in the January news the ASU officials told the newspaper that they would study the offer of the GIS to see if its prices are reasonable or not.

Al Watan Newspaper during then had published more interesting details regarding the GIS deal : LE 6 million for installing 8 metal detector gates, 67 surveillance cameras and training to the University Campus. The ASU administration said that it will pay LE 3 million only.

On last April 4,2013 the ASU Students union wrote on its official FB page that the ASU administration signed a 6 months contract with the intelligence in last February 2013 for LE 4.4 million. The students union welcomed this because they had enough from thugs attacks and assaults actually. The problem is that this is not how it should be solved or is going to be solved.

Of course I have never heard in my life that an intelligence apparatus was hired by a university to protect it from local thugs !!!!!!!!!!!!! This is just wrong on too many levels and I do not know from where I shall start !!

What I know and I understand , the GIS’ role is protect the Egyptian national security especially from outside dangers from spies to terrorists as well to secure Egypt’s strategic not to protect University campuses. University Campuses’ security is the duty of the University’s security and local police. In fact this is the duty of the ministry of interior. The ministry of interior is the one that should supply the university with metal detectors gates and train the security personnel and so on.

The Egyptian intelligence is not a commercial security company last time I check and I believe those men who founded in 1950s did not want it to be like that.

I remembered this news now because because the study has been suspended indefinitely due to the lack of security !!

Ain Shams University is from the most active university in Egypt when it comes to political activism since 1970s. Its students played a vital role in the last two years of the revolution and it has got its own share of martyrs above Dr. Amr Abdel Hady who was killed in the Clashes of Cabinet HQ last December 2011.

The recent attacks in the ASU Campus are more than interesting because when I searched for its origin , I found out that the attacks are led ASU Law school graduate turned in to thug 32 years old Gharib Mahmoud who was being used by State security and University administration during the Mubarak days. Already I am amazed why Mahmoud was not stopped and arrested by police if he is the reason in what is happening in ASU.
