Mohamed El Shafei joins el Gendy in searching for lost justice !! “Graphic”

After hours of Mohamed El Gundy’s disappearance on 28 January 2013 another young man like him also disappeared in Tahrir square on 29 January 2013. His name was Mohamed El Shafei and was last seen in a protest in Tahrir square.
We saw El Shafei’s photo as a missing person sooner on social media.
El Shafie's photo
His mother Mrs. Amal Ahmed , a single mom who works in Misr International University kept searching for him for weeks along with the help of her family and friends as well the human rights activists. For a whole month they have been searching everywhere , in every hospital, jail and morgue. I repeat in every hospital and morgue including Zanihom morgue in Cairo
Earlier this month we found out that activists found him in the infamous Zanihom morgue by accident after visiting that morgue and showing the photo of Mohamed to their employees of the morgue. They denied havin him in when they were first asked !!
It turned out that there was hidden chamber human rights activists and lawyers did not know about in that morgue where some anonymous dead body with traces of torture was kept outside the fridge. Yes outside the fridge for several days. It turned out to be El Shafie’s body. El Shafie’s body was admitted as anonymous body at first with no clothes or ids or anything. El Shafie was beaten and was shot three times. His body of course began to compose. Till now we do not know the exact cause of death.

El Shafie as found in morgue "Graphic"
Here is a video clip showing Amal Ahmed speaking to Ahram Online about her son and what happened to him. Mrs. Amal voted for Morsi by the way.

Who tortured and killed El Shafie !? Another question with no answer.
His mother , that strong lady said that Mohmaed has passed away , there are millions of Mohameds in Egypt seeking freedom and justice who will restore his rights.
Strong Mrs. Amal by Al Watan newspaper.
Nawara Negm said on TV yesterday that someone told her that they want the army to return back to rule because at least our dead are found in no time !!
I am tired of seeing Egyptian mothers who try to stop their tears in defiance over their lost sons. Just like El Gendy , El Shafie was his mother’s lonely child.
Do you know that the mother of Mohamed El Gendy took the number of Mrs. Amal and called her in order to support her in her grief !!

#Libya and #Egypt : The Silent Crisis

The famous silent man from Tahrir spoke about it
We are facing hard times when it comes to the Egyptian Libyan relations unlike what we have imagined especially in the past two weeks.
The Egyptians especially the Egyptian Christians are extremely angry from Libyans for the murder of Ezzat Attallah in Libya. Upper Egyptian Attallah was arrested in Libya for the suspicion of spreading Christianity. After couple of days of his detention along with other Egyptian Christians , he died."The image on the right : The famous silent man from Tahrir square received the body of Ezzat in Cairo airport with this message 'Ezzat do not be sad , Mohamed will bring back your rights' "
According to the family of late Attallah , he was tortured till death. His wife claims that she took photos for his body with signs of torture. His family is saying that he was not promoting Christianity and that he was his only relation to those Christians arrested there that the authorities there found his contact number in one of the detainees’ mobile phone if I understand correctly. Attallah used to own mobile repair shop in Libya.
Egyptian Christians protested angrily for two days in a row at Libyan embassy in Zamalek area in Cairo last week. Some of them burned the Libyan flag in anger. Then Libyans became angry too after knowing that their flag  was burned in Cairo torched an Egyptian Church in Benghazi on Thursday.
There are still Egyptian Christians detained in Libya and those who were released from them and return back home are speaking about horrors they witnessed during custody.
Of course you will wonder where the Egyptian government is from all this , well unfortunately the Presidency is not keen to send the president’s aide for  foreign affairs Essam El Hadad nor the head of the intelligence as it had done with the MB detainees in UAE. The ministry of foreign affairs in Egypt issued couple of very small statements about the incidents claiming that it was following the matter with its Libyan counterpart..etc.
Now you can feel that there is a crisis between Egypt and Libya , people are witnessing its signs and I think the case of Attallah will inflame the crisis more and more.
The original crisis has to do with the fact that Egypt hosts some of the former Qaddafi regime members including Qaddaf El Dam. The new rulers of Libya do not buy that he defected and so on. Now the government of Libya does not want Qaddaf El Dam and other Qaddafi’s regime members and supporters from big families in Egypt alone but rather want to restore back their assets and investments in Egypt.
The Libyan assets and investments in Egypt are big , not small to the level that they can affect the Egyptian economy now especially in our current disastrous status as I have been told by trusted sources.
Another part of the crisis is the fact Libya has been the main source of arms that are flooding the country .
I do not know if the Egyptian intelligence is still holding the Libyan file like in the days of Omar Suleiman or not but I know that the Presidency is not doing its part as it should whether to seek the rights of those citizens allegedly tortured or to solve that dilemma of Qaddafi supporters or even.
I once heard a real strategic analyst saying that the real challenge for Egypt will not come from the East this time but rather from the West.
As usual Morsi’s administration fails to stand up for this challenge as it should and yes it is the responsibility of Morsi whether you like or not.
I know it is ironic as people believed that with the Islamists in charge in both in Egypt and Libya things will be great and our borders will be opened but what you know !!

How has the #MB become the biggest challenge to #Jan25 Revolution ?

I wanted to write this post from a long time but as usual I was lazy enough to do it but my dear friend Bassem Sabry’s latest column in Al Monitor made me to write it.
DSC03317
4/20/2012 protest One hand to build the nation
I began to believe that the Muslim brotherhood has become the biggest challenge to the 25 January Revolution and its biggest liability ever. I am afraid that the famous group that nobody can deny its participation in the revolution is hurting and even jeopardizing it in the worst ways ever especially with their policies and plans the whole idea of 25 January revolution.
Of course here when I am speaking about the Muslim brotherhood as in Presidency , Freedom and Justice party and the  Muslim brotherhood.
The intelligentsia in Egypt know that the Muslim brotherhood took over the rule breaking all the promises they gave to the fellow revolutionaries whom for years stood to defend the group against Mubarak regime. The intelligentsia also know very well how the MB and their policies are completely opposite to what the 25 January revolution called for from principles “Bread, Freedom , human dignity and social justice”.
The Muslim brotherhood’s neoliberal policies will not reach to social justice nor it will provide bread. We have seen what happened so far to human dignity and Freedom especially with the continuing violation of human rights cases from torture and that hate towards media in Egypt nowadays.
When Mohamed Morsi was elected a president he chose several Pro-revolutionary faces like Ayman El Sayad , Sakina Fouad and Samir Marcus as advisory and aides yet he did not listen to them at all. I do not need to bet that if he just listened to them things will be different. Of course  I do not need to say that he is listening to the MB guidance office.
The MB says that the political opposition forces "mainly from revolutionary faces like ElBaradei and Sabbahi" are working to make Morsi fail where actually the MB is doing the job perfectly. Morsi and MB are the ones who digging their failure grave by pursuing the same dark path of dictatorship in order to fulfill Hassan El Banna's big vision of MB Caliphate.
Still I fear that the average Egyptians do not look to the MB as a danger on the revolution but rather a product of the revolution. I fear that the average Egyptians will hate the revolution day after day with the failures the President and MB are causing in the country. I fear that the average Egyptians who were happy to oust Mubarak and took the streets will see the MB’s control as a direct result of the revolution.
Of course people do not want to admit that they chose and brought the MB willingly through democratic processes aka elections. People elected the Muslim brotherhood and refused to try other alternative because “ They knew MB and the MB is good as they are Islamists”
I fear that people will miss the Mubarak days even if they were not from the privilege class that enjoyed these days yet they are missing that feeling of state control and security.
From two weeks ago “Ana Asf Ya Rayas” { I am sorry Mr. President} Pro Mubarak page reached to nearly 900,000 likes since its launch from two years ago. The Pro Mubarak/Shafik/Omar Sulieman supporters and apologists are having their dreams come true using all their talent to spread lies on how Mubarak’s era was much better than the MB’s rule and how the revolution is bad.I see daily posts in my Facebook timelines from friends sharing on how things were better in time of Mubarak at least when it comes to security and some how “economy” was allegedly much better.
I fear that people are having short memory because things were not that better in time of Mubarak , it was on the verge of explosion sooner or later. We had fuel and water shortage from time to time. All research centers all over the globe were predicting unrests after Mubarak whether caused because of his regime’s economic policies or because the fight over power between the military and Gamal Mubarak as well Islamists and Gamal Mubarak. Many people believe that Mubarak and his regime were right to violate human right
Unfortunately the MB’s failures in Egypt are not affecting the revolution in Egypt but also in the Arab world as well. Recently more people in Egypt began to see the revolution in Syria as another foreign attempt to bring it down using the Islamists and the MB who are destroying Syria in the same way they have done it in Egypt. I am not speaking about uneducated Egyptians but rather educated Egyptians.
The MB and their allies in Gaza from Hamas are hurting the Palestinian cause for the first time in Egypt. The Anti-Palestinian sentiment is finding a place in Egypt for the first time since 1948. Average people wonder why President Morsi care for Gaza than Port Said. Average people also fear that Hamas may have a hand in killing our soldiers and began to think that the president is not telling the truth. I do not need to speak on how that “Palestinians are coming, Palestinians are coming” media machine is working like hell. Yes they are differentiating between Hamas and Palestine but in real world people do not differentiate.
In the end the MB has become a burden on the revolution and we have to admit it not only in Egypt but in the Arab world.

#MB guards clash with #Graffiti artists ; Watch #ElMoktam now

Today a group of graffiti artists in Cairo decided to head to the stronghold of Muslim brotherhood aka its headquarter in Moktam. They wanted to draw couple of graffiti paintings attacking MB in their heart and mind location.
Instead of painting graffiti on the wall and to avoid any clashes they began to draw on the asphalt in the street when they were attacked and beaten by the MB youth and guards.
Nour El Din El Mahallawi , a Pro-Revolution young activist living in Moktam wrote in his blog in Arabic what happened today. El Mahallawi was that group that organized the Harlem Shake there.  Nour El Din mentioned very interesting point that is from few days ago the MB guards “not police” detained a group of youth from Moktam one kilometer away from the MB HQ and that group was handed over to the police.
Now the videos and photos coming from the clashes are not that shocking after what we have seen last December 5,2012 at Presidential Palace. We saw a video showing a man slapping a girl called Mervat. We saw controversial activist Ahmed Douma beaten in the same video . “Pay attention on how the girl is being slapped”
From Al Masry Al Youm
A girl slapped at the MB HQ in that video
We saw a young man people are claiming that he is from “Khairat El Shater”’s security guard smearing and swearing to cut the head of anybody coming near to the MB HQ. “I think he is the same young man Nour El Mahallawi saw talked to him.
At the same time the graffiti artists and activists were there , it turned out that there was a meeting in the guidance office with a delegation from Hamas headed by Khaled Mashel himself. Some sources say that this was a security delegation . Anyhow the graffiti youth and activists were not going to storm the HQ and did not know that Hamas delegation was there !!
Now speaking about the GIS and the MB HQ , there is some interesting info leaked from weeks ago about those unknown assailants who stormed the MB HQ on December 5,2012 during the angry protests there and destroyed the third floor in particular in that HQ. Allegedly that third floor including surveillance and monitor equipment used to spy on Egyptians as well army commanders. The info goes on and says that equipment came from Turkey and Qatar.
Anyhow back to our main event today , the clash of graffiti artists and MB youth did not stop here because the reporters who went to cover both the clashes and the Hamas delegation were attacked and beaten and their cameras were smashed.
Of course now the MB has issued a press statement claiming that the graffiti boys and girls are thugs and that journalists were accompanying them in support. The statement also claimed that those thugs called the MB bad names and got Molotovs etc…
I am tried from debating what has been recording in video really !! I do not think that offensive words on asphalt road is enough justification to that beating and that attack including beating of women.
Of course I know I will open debate about whether graffiti is legal or not and whether I should accept the graffiti drawn on my house and the difference between the private property or public property. Well I hate to break the news that the Muslim brotherhood as a group has not been legalized yet before we can speak about whether graffiti calling MB is legal or not. The graffiti was drawn on the street. It can be removed so easily but beating a lady like that in the street can be removed from our memory.
Now for those interested that HQ in the MB is not owned by the MB as it is not yet a legal entity. I am not sure of who owns it.
By the way the clashes continued in the parameter between protesters and the security forces that showed up at last. The protesters pushed back away from the MB HQ and the MB boys are standing protecting by sticks ready for anyone thinks to come closer to the Holy HQ.

Late Mindy
Today I started my day speechless , you know when you hear a sad news that you are not ready for at all. This is how my day started. I was shocked to know that dear friend and environmentalist Mindy Bahaa El Din has passed away.
Dear Mindy suffered a stroke on Thursday night and passed away earlier this morning at Dar El Fouad Hospital in 6 of October. For those who do not know Mindy Bahaa El Din , originally from the States was the most active and passionate environmental activists and conservationist in Egypt. Along with her husband famous conservationist Sherif Bahaa El Din , Mindy struggled against all unstoppable aggression on environment in Egypt. She really loved Egypt so much more than some Egyptians do I would dare and say. She was optimistic and had hopes for better future for Egypt. Mindy was buried in Egypt from several hours ago.
Mendy was unknown solider in the battle of environment in Egypt indeed. I wish more people knew her and knew her work in Nature Conservation Egypt.
Dear Mindy was a long time Egyptian Chronicles reader and she used to help me with info when its comes to environment in Egypt. She was nice to me and very caring. I did not meet her in person but I wish I had.
Here is a small clip by dear Ghazla Irshad showing late Mindy speaking about Egypt.

My deepest condolences to her husband Dr.Sherif and her beautiful daughters Laila and Yasmine. May Allah grant them patience to cope that huge loss.
Next Thursday the memorial service will be held for Mindy at El Hamdia El Shazlia famous mosque in Mohandessin area.

#EgyArmy : Watch out Class 109

General El Sissi
Please watch carefully The Class 109 in the Military academy , it is exceptional class by all measures. The Class 109 aka Saad El Shaazly class is a historical because for the first time since God knows when young men from Muslim brotherhood are allowed to enroll in the military academy.
Yes for the first time a number from young men from the Muslim brotherhood above them President’s nephew himself who was accepted to enroll in the Technical Military school. Not only the Muslim brotherhood boys enrolled in the military academy but also the boys of many Islamist backgrounds like Salafists.
The headmaster of the military academy says that there is no fear because all political affiliations are left outside the door and that if any officer violates army code and gets involved with politics will be expelled. The problem is not in the officers but rather in the students, the future officers.
The Class 109 is interesting because according to my info there was a delay to announce the results of the applicants and whether they are accepted or not in what is known to be the initial screening before 100 days of training prior to be officially a student in the military academy. This is according to my humble info.
Let me be straight I do not have any problem that students from different religions and sects even atheists as well races to join the army , it is right from the citizenship rights but I have a huge problem with students affiliated with political current that got its own view and goals contradicting the current view and goals of the Egyptian state established by Mohamed Ali from 200 years.
I do not know the MB student/Officer will follow his commander’s orders or the order of the guidance office !? How will the MB student look to Mohamed Ali Pasha and Ibrahim Pasha, the founders of the modern Egyptian army whom the brothers and the Islamists in general hate because they defied the Othman Empire and modernized Egypt !?
How will the MB student look to Nasser and the 23 July regime that actually whether you agree or disagree rebuilt the Egyptian army for the second time after Mohamed Ali Pasha !?
The MB got a project of Caliphate that the brothers do not deny and it is beyond the Egyptian state and its army.
Will the MB students and officers share the secrets of the army with the guidance office !?
Already one of the biggest dreams of the MB in those 80 was to infiltrate the army and I think they made it officially !!
Unfortunately we have witnessed from MB’s behavior, policies and beliefs especially among the youth made me think about those boys who turned the military academy. The MB families brainwash its kids technically as far as I can tell , how can I trust a brainwashed person who believes that I am not a believer because I am liberal on myself , on my country !?
It is enough to see what the MB youth and teenagers post online and on Facebook to be worried for God sake on what they will do in the country without the army for God sake.
My concern is that before 1936 Egyptian army was excluded on rich class then after 1936 starting with President Nasser’s class all other classes were allowed to enroll in to the War School. After 10 years Nasser and his fellow officers started the Free officers and brought down the Mohamed Ali Royal Family and changing Egypt and the Arab world later. This is why I am worried from Class 109 and what it may produce.
Liberals , Salafists, Leftists , moderates do not have the same complicated doctrines ,teachings and principles as well Mega universal plan to master the world like the MB. Of course I will be able all sort of names coz of this.
Now old army veterans received the news in surprise while the current army officers seemed to be indifferent as they believe that the next 4 years those boys will turn to be different men unaffiliated to anyone except the Egyptian army. Still some army officers including trusted ones believe that there were pressures by presidency to accept the MB boys in particular.
Some people are accusing minister of defense El Sissi of being a covert MB member in the army especially that his great uncle was a late leading member in the brotherhood. Of course these people ignore the fact that El Sissi is nicknamed as Tantawy’s son in the army !! For God sake he will not reach to that position in military intelligence in time of Mubarak if he were really an Islamist or MB even in secret.
Of course people are hysterical at the Official Spokesperson of Armed forces more than I do.
The debate about Class 109 will not end and surely it is timing now interesting with this strange relation between the MB and the military.

Arresting Qaddaf El Dam , a big noise like his late cousin

$

Early Tuesday the Egyptian police arrested by the orders of the INTERPOL 3 top wanted Ex-Qaddafi regime’s officials above them Ahmed Qaddaf El Dam , the top Qaddafi’s aide and his cousin in a very big scene in Zamalek area.
The other two arrested along Qaddaf El Dam are former Libyan ambassador in Cairo Ali Maria and Mohamed Ibrahim , the brother Moussa Ibrahim, the former minister of information.
Just like his cousin, Qaddaf El Dam did not give up except with a fight in a big scene. It turned out that his guards opened their fire at the police force that came for his arrest injuring a police officer in the quiet clam upper Class Zamalek neighborhood in early morning. Reporters claim that when the police force stormed his residence he claimed that he believed the police force were actually Libyan rebels searching for him !!
In that time it seems that Qaddaf El Dam spoke with Jihan Mansour on Dream TV in her morning TV show.  He said that he was not a terrorist to be treated like that.
The latest Interview with Qaddaf El Dam on TV through phone
After that he surrendered himself to the Egyptian authorities and went to the International Cooperation Office at the Prosecution office in a big scene waving to the people while in custody like his late cousin !!
Saluting the people after Arrest !! "AP"
The international cooperation office follows the Prosecutor General office and from what I understand is like the link between the INTERPOL and the Prosecutor General office.
Now there is a debate both in Egypt and Libya about whether Egypt should extradite that eccentric guy or not and whether he gave up his Libyan passport or not. Some human rights activists in Egypt like Hafez Abu Saeda believes that as an Egyptian he should not be extradited to Libya .
The chairman of the Egyptian organization for human rights believes that the wanted Libyan ex-officials should not extradited in general except if there is a guarantee for a fair trial with no random killing and tribal vengeance.
Abu Saeda raised the matter of Qaddaf El Dam’s Egyptian nationality and the Libyans are speaking in their TV channels that the man gave his Libyan passport. Now there is implication also raised by Abu Saeda . According to the extradition agreement between Arab states in 1952 Arab citizens are not extradited and face trials in their own countries. “If I understand correctly”
Despite millions of Egyptians faced and are facing trials all over the Arab world , it is worth to mention that Hisham Talaat Mostafa was not extradited to  UAE and had a trial in Egypt.
Qaddaf is already half Egyptian half Libyan. Born in 1952 for Egyptian mother and Libyan father in Matrouh and it seems that he got an Egyptian citizenship even before Egyptian mothers’ children are granted the citizenship.
Well personally I believe you will find many sympathizers from the media with Qaddaf El Dam as the man supported several newspapers and journalists. He also owned a TV channel in Egypt. Already the man is believed to have estimated US $ 10 billion investments in Egypt.
Nevertheless of the charges he is facing in Libya , this man is facing charges of possessing illegal arms and resisting police forces. He is detained pending investigation for 30 days in Egypt. He is facing corruption charges in Libya and Egyptian INTERPOL is waiting to study his file from Libya.
Now regarding that sudden change in Egypt’s position towards the Libyan wanted officials. Well there are two theories and both are speaking about pressure and deals.
The first one I hinted to earlier is related to the crisis between Libya and Egypt regarding these wanted ex-officials. The theory says that Egypt is trading those three “and may be more” for the Egyptian detainees in Egypt from illegal workers and Egyptian Christians accused of spreading Christianity.
It is worth to mention that there was a meeting between the Pope of Coptic Church and the Libyan ambassador to discuss the fate of those Egyptian detainees. Already now the Prosecutor General assistant is in Libya to discuss the fate of those detainees.
The second theory says that MB strongman Khairat El Shater reached to deal with the Libyan government by which Libya would pay $ 3 billion to get those men.
I believe the first theory more than the second or to be honest there could be a deal between Egypt and Libya to hand over these men and keep some of their assets as well to release our detainees.
I think  we will know soon if the Egyptian Libya relations improve in the future and out detainees are released.

When #Iraq Invasion echoed in #Tahrir square

From 10 years ago Iraq was invaded and thousands of Egyptians stormed the Tahrir square in protest during the strong days of Mubarak regime.
Ironically at the same time the Muslim brotherhood and the National Democratic Party were hand in hand so-called protesting the foreign invasion of Iraq at Cairo Stadium. Sadly the media focused only what is happening in the Stadium and ignored the square.
The photo below was from the rare photos taken from Tahrir square and published in Egyptian press by Randa Shaath on 20 March 2003 and was published in Ahram Weekly.
In Tahrir from ten years by Randa Shaath
Here are more photos from Corbis and Getty

Of course the security forces dispersed by force that huge protest.

Those who protested in the square from famous faces , from activists were then stalked by state security for days and months. Some of them were arrested and tortured too.
You know the invasion of Iraq did change a lot of things in the region without doubt.

#MOI thinks that video is offensive !!

Egyptian Vlogger Ahmed Anwar found out today that the ministry of interior “MOI” is suing him for offending the Egyptian police because of a video he uploaded. He also found out that there is an order for his arrest on 17 March 2013. His case number is 4502 for year 2012.

Here is the video which the MOI believes that is offensive.

Anwar : Ministry of belly dancers formally known as ministry of interior

The video is dated to March 2012 where Anwar criticized sarcastically how the ministry of interior and “ The Wives of police officers” association decided to honor out of blue Lebanese singer and actress Marwa for her role in raising the morale of police force !!!

Anwar said in the video that that was the ministry of interior but rather the ministry of belly dancers. The video is hilarious actually !!

Marwa is a D-List actress/singer who is known for steamy films and songs. She appeared naked in one of her cult films last year ironically before being honored by MB

You know I think nobody offended the Egyptian police like the ministry of interior itself with all its wrong policies and violations ..etc. Nobody offended the Egyptian police except those police officers who decided to honor D-List actress in the first place.

It is joke considering the endless video clips we have got for the Egyptian police from torture and abuse to humans recorded even live and yet no one is considering these videos as offensive from the ministry !!

The video is not offensive as much the behavior of the MOI that tortures systematically the activists like Mohamd El Gendy and abuses hundreds of minors in custody !!

By the way this is not the first time we found out that there are activists , journalists and bloggers being sued without being informed

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mothers in Egypt and the Arab world.
This was the first post stamp issued in Egypt to commemorate the National Day in year 1957
Mother's Day 21-3-1957
And here is the Google Doodle for the Day from Google Egypt.

Also here is the Mother’s Day song for the year by the legendary Soad Hosny from Lyrics of Salah Jahin and the music of Kamel El Taweel from the Egyptian National TV archives. “Legends summit”

Good morning my majesty
It is worth to mention that Egypt was the mother of the idea to have the Mother’s Day on March 21st in the Arab world thanks to the famous Amin brothers in 1956. The Amin brothers adored their mother as well their godmother , the mother of all Egyptians Safia Zaghlol.
The mother’s role in Egypt and how it is highly regarded is rooted deeply in our folklore without knowledge now. From Isis to Virgin Mary to Lady Zeinab
Today also is the first day of Spring and is the Nairoz for the Kurds and Baha'i's by the way.

#MB Vs. Protesters : The Battle this time in Moktam !!

Tomorrow several opposition political powers and parties are planning to protest at the Muslim brotherhood headquarter in Moktam. It is an escalation move to protest what happened to the protesters at the HQ last Saturday. The protest should start at 2 PM.

The political powers and figures organizing the protest announced their demands :
  1. Removing the illegal Public Prosecutor from his position and appointing a new Public Prosecutor through a legal and transparent procedure and investigating properly in all former cases.
  2. Resignation of the failing government and appointing a national salvation government chosen by national forces that represents all the Egyptians.
  3. Discontinuing the use of the illegal constitution that was tailored by MB and in coordination with one political party, regardless of the demands and rights of all national political groups and civil societies. This would be done through a legitimate constituent assembly; since the former assembly does not have the capacity to draft a constitution for a post revolutionary nation; in the mean time we would be using the revised Constitution of 1971 (through the March 19, 2011 referendum) temporarily, and the formation of the Constituent Assembly that includes genuine national constitutional law experts and representatives of trade unions, political parties and various community groups equally. The new constitution would pass by referendum and must win 50% votes plus one from the voters enrolled in the electoral tables so that there is a legitimate pass of a constitution for Egypt.
  4. Dismantling the Muslim Brotherhood by force of law or be subject to current law of associations 84 for year 2002
  5. Claim CAA to start the process of legalization of the Muslim Brotherhood group to announce their sources of funding in the current and previous press conference within two months maximum and refer any violation of the law to the new Public Prosecutor.
  6. The call for the new presidential elections in September 2013 under the supervision and management of full international control, from the United Nations and international organizations.
  7. The formation of an independent committee composed of technical and logistic experts, to revise the national ID database to ensure the integrity of any future election process in Egypt.
Now who is going to participate in this protest ? Who are the political figures and what are the political powers behind it !? Well here is a quick glimpse of who will head to the MB HQ tomorrow from the big names : George Ishak, Alaa Al Aswani, Nawara Negm, Dr. Hazem Abdel Azim, Youssef El Hussieny, Dina Abdel Fattah, Zeyad El Eliemy, Bassel Adel, Bassem Kamal, Mostafa El Gendy , Alaa Abdel Fatah
From the parties participating in the protest : Free Egyptians and El Karama Party. April 6 Youth “Ahmed Maher Front” announced that it is going to participate too. It is worth to mention that Liberal Misr El Hurreya Party announced that it will not participate in the protest.
Of course the MB will not stand still in front of this. Its secretary general Mahmoud Hussein said today in the MB unsuccessful presser that the MB has right to defend its properties if the police do not defend it.
As expected the MB has mobilized its members to its headquarter since afternoon.
The MB members at HQ from afternoon "By Ahmed Amin"
“Misr 25” Official MB TV channel is claiming that there are 5000 MB members now at the HQ celebrating the legalization of the Muslim brotherhood as NGO !!
later they were chanting their slogans by Ashraf Mahdy
I do not feel that good from what is going to happen tomorrow especially that the MB Harlem Shake star and the leading figure in 5 December Presidential Palace battle Ahmed El Mogheer has declared on his Facebook page the great Jihad for the Muslim brotherhood tomorrow in defending the holy MB HQ claiming that those will die defending it from MB will go heavens while those terrorists who will attack it will go to hell !! He also admits that there are directives to the MB members to protect the HQ and that all 100% of the youth listened to these directives.
The MB members indeed are bragging online that they are ready to kill who comes to their holy HQ. Here is a reply dear Haitham El Tabei , the AFP journalist got just for giving directions for the journalists tomorrow on how to escape in case of clashes from Moktam area.
Tweep @abd_allahh
You are explaining the escape plan !?? No worries there is no escape as the rule is simply “who ascends to Moktam hill will ascend to heavens as the angel of death revises his papers and the MB youth are assisting him !!
From their side the residents of Moktam themselves can not take it anymore and are collecting signatures for petition so the Muslim brotherhood leave the area. Shops and banks in the area have closed and installed wood surfaces to protect their windows. NSGB emptied its ATM.

#MB VS protesters : The night goes on !!

Now I could not update this post for hours because we are having internet problems all over Egypt but I have been glued to my twitter , TV channels and News websites to follow up what is taking place. I can not update my Storify Live update. It is annoying.
Things are not good at all.
At night the clashes are mainly between the protesters and the Central Security forces “CSF”. Again the Attack and Retreat Policy is applied. Some MB members also clash from time to time with the protesters. The CSF is reportedly using extremely bad type of tear gas grenades.
The ambulance authority announced that there are officially 147 injured and no fatalities. Still on the ground activists and protesters report another thing. April 6 Youth member Mostafa El Boghdady is reporting that one protester was killed.
The Muslim brotherhood members also claim that at least one of their members have been killed. There is no doubt that the MB members that were captured by the protesters were beaten brutally and crazily. It is also worth to mention that the protesters and activists who have been in Mohamed Mahmoud 1 Clashes and Cabinet HQ Clashes of 2011 were protecting them but in vain.
A MB member was torched and his pictures shocked us. Thank Goodness He is still alive and fine according to his brother on Facebook.
From Al Masry Al Youm
Another MB member was dragged after being beaten. Actually more than MB member were dragged in the streets by the angry protesters according to the photos we saw and vice versa also. It was a streets war for real.

Dragged while bleeding "Ahram Online"
It is like the December 5 clashes but the MB members and protesters changed their places. More photos can be found in Ahram Online.
The protesters reported that the CS forces were attacking the protesters  pushing them back in order to liberate members of the MB captured and detained in El Hamed mosque. “There is a photo for the mosque in the first post”
At the same time protesters report that there are other protesters captured at a Mosque called Belal Ibn El Rabah in the area.
FYI today is the 85th anniversary of founding the Muslim brotherhood in Ismailia. It is worth to mention also that protesters from several months burned down the MB headquarter there !!

I can write some phrases from the type that Egypt lost today to the end of that talk but I believe today actually is a result of the polarization already planted by the Muslim brotherhood and President Morsi starting from his constitutional declaration and the Presidential Palace massacre on December 5. In fact if those from the MB who tortured the protesters on the fences of the presidential Palace were brought to justice
The polarization of the Muslim brotherhood continues as the MB media as represented in Misr 25 TV channel kept claiming that the Christians and communists who are fighting Islam. You got someone like RSSD News network founder and MB member Abdel Kadr El Sheheny claiming that the protesters are Christians fighting Islam on his twitter account.
The polarization of the Muslim brotherhood continues as the MB youth kept chanting for hours “ Islamic state , Islamic state against secularism” and till the end of these sectarian chants while firing bird shots at the protesters. Yes they started first and I think the tweets I shared from the location from unbiased reporters.
The polarization of the Muslim brotherhood continues when they keep cheering for the police that needs to be reformed because the police is attacking the protesters.
Yes this is what Ikhwan Web does not say in English and will not say because they do not admit the guts to say it. I know that today the MB will use it in its PR work to present itself as the victim of the militant opposition in Egypt and probably we will find the Prosecutor general accusing activists and political figures by name Saturday morning.

#MB VS. Protesters : After the Mount battle

The battle has got a name now “The Mount battle” in reference to Mokattam Hill that is regarded by most Egyptians as a mount while it is not. The biggest ironies of the whole thing is that the MB members are the ones who named it “The Mount Battle”.

I have got too many thoughts and short time today. I am between reading the testimonies of those who have been there or following news and reactions. It is just crazy. I will try to do my best.

The Protesters and the Mount Battle

Most protesters believe that they won this battle after kicking the Muslim brotherhood’s ass in Mokattam and paying the price of losing partially their humanity by approving the actions of torture. They believe that they made the Muslim brotherhood pay for their assaults and attacks on the protesters since the attack of the MB youth on protesters including girls I knew at the parliament in January 2012 not even the attack of MB members on the protests at the Presidential Palace on December 5. What happened on December 5th from torture and assault against protesters was the turning point , the angry protesters still got these terrible images and footage and can not forget it. The statements and the actions of the MB are not helping them to forget especially in time of the elected president we got victims like Gika , Christy and El Gendy.

It is like living in a war and most of the protesters believe that they won that battle against the MB members who used teased them of being weak and not so strong to stand against the great fighters of MB.

No more humanity , No More Mr. Nice guy

Most of the protesters did beat the crap out of the MB protesters madly but other protesters like activists and veteran revolutionaries tried to stop the assaults but they failed in front of extreme angry protesters. The photos were horrifying without doubt. It is as if the peaceful protesters of January 25 revolution are not longer peaceful or believe in peacefulness. Well You got very angry frustrated people now and they do not have anymore that romantic peacefulness view of the revolution. They are  on the verge of hunger revolution and this is another part of yesterday scene.

Still some people tried to stop this madness.

Khaled Ali , the former presidential candidate tried to stop the beating of a MB member and in the end he was beaten and had an injury in his Shoulder. Shahenda Maklad , who was assaulted by the MB last December 5,2012 was trying to defend the MB members captured by the protesters but could not do anything in front of huge and sad anger.

Nawara Negm kept screaming and running behind the protesters telling them to leave the MB members they capture but nobody listened. Nawara said that one of the protesters told her that he was tortured by the MB during the Presidential Palace clashes. Activist Nazly Hussein and Rasha Azzab also mentioned that they tried to stop the protesters but they were too angry. “Did those who torture the people at presidential palace were questioned !?” The angry protesters frequently told activist Nazly Hussein.

It is worth to mention that Negm and Ali are not the so-called Wanted list of the Islamists which is another thing I will speak about in another post.

The MB and the Mount battle

The MB members after bragging a whole week on how they kicked activist Ahmed Douma’s ass and slapped a woman activist and vowing to slaughter whoever would dare to come near to the MB HQ yesterday by force are living and excelling the role of the victims. Amazingly now the MB spokesperson that what happened to them is an evidence that they do not have militias !!

I followed the preparations of this battle since last Saturday , from a week ago after the attack against the graffiti artists and I got my shares from MB comments on my twitter on how the MB men will teach those secular protesters the lesson of their lives. Still what happened yesterday was a defeat.

By the way the MB also beat the crap out of the protesters and even allegedly tortured some of them including Mokattam residents in a Mosque , yes in  Mosque. No is not innocent in the Mount Battle.

Now the MB members and Islamists especially from Youth decided to start a new battle next Sunday at the Media City in order to bring down those secular TV channels.

The MB members and Islamists especially from youth are begging Morsi to get angry and the Guidance office to arm them for real otherwise they will burn down the guidance office did not arm them allegedly enough.

May be this can be the start for the MB members and Youth to think about what the holy guidance office and its decisions. May be this will force some of them to think on why the guidance office decided to mobilize their members from govenorates outside Cairo in particular ignoring the A Class MB youth like El Shater and Hassan Malek’s sons. Amazingly the A Class MB youth are doing this job in incitement perfectly while leaving the dirty work , the handy work to province members if I may say.

The new kind of protesters

As soon as I knew that there were ambushes from both sides on the highway to Mokattam , I knew that MB members from provinces coming in the afternoon would see hell after all they would meet the protesters coming from the Shanty towns and popular areas surrounding Mokattam.

I knew that as soon as I read from reporters and friends on the ground that the MB members began to attack the protesters and their cars from the top of the hill using bird shots and rocks that the MB member would face hell for real because they are not dealing anymore with chichi protesters of Heliopolis. They are dealing more and more in the clashes with the working angry class that can not tolerate anymore economic failures. FYI Mokattam is surrounded by popular areas and shanty towns in amazing paradox between the upscale area and the low scale areas below the hell.

These protesters can not be controlled by the Fancy opposition and sophisticated members of National Salvation Front , this is the fact the MB does not want to understand or may be they do not actually understand because as a group they depend on complete obedience.

From couple of months ago the people of Alexandria , mainly from popular areas attacked the Islamists from Salafists as well the Muslim brotherhood and beat the crap out of them. It turned out that most of the protesters that kicked out the Salafists coming from outside Alexandria came from those popular areas. The people had enough on how MBs and Salafists controlled the distribution of bread and gas in those areas. Nobody attention for this huge change taking place. I think we are witnessing the same thing.

Already we are also witnessing the beginning of hunger revolution especially in these hard economic times.

The Finale

In the end I will say over and over if there was true justice in the investigations of clashes that took place on December 5,2012 , if there was true justice and true state of law that would restore the rights of Mina Philip as Egyptian citizen we would not see that middle aged man from the Muslim brotherhood dragged on the top of Mokattam.

The ex-vice president Mahmoud Mekki said important phrase on December 5,2012 while the MB members were beating protesters and journalists outside the Palace he was standing in speaking to journalists “ The survival is for the strongest”. The phrase summarizes what is happening in Egypt.

Yes our Presidency and its representatives said it clear “The Survival is for the strongest” and the people are following this

My dear friend Mahmoud Gamal El Din was there at the Mount Battle along with his camera. He went to protest as well to cover the protest as talented and amazing reporter and photographer.

By the way I tried to call Mahmoud yesterday while in field. He was among the activists who tried to stop the attack against the MB members by protesters but in vain.

After the Mount Battle , We Got the Media Battle !!

After few hours from now Islamists from Muslim brotherhood youth members and Salafists are planning for another battle. The Muslim brotherhood youth and Islamists are planning a million man protest to besiege the media city in October 6 once again. They are calling actually for the storming of the city and to block the transmission of the following channels “CBC,ONTV, MBC Misr , El Kahara Wal Nas !!

This battle is led by none other than the king of talk shows who appeared on TV more than ElBaradei since the start of Egyptian revolution Sheikh Hazem Salah Abu Ismail.

The campaign or the battle does not stop in the infidel media city as some tweep told me on Saturday. The battle goes on personally targeting political and figures by names at their home like for instance Khaled Ali who was injured while protecting a MB member during the Clashes.

Now the following part will depend on storify leaving with no comment from me at all after the break with no comment what so ever.

The secretary general of MB Mahmoud Ezzat announced in the press conference held on Saturday claimed that the brotherhood was not participating officially in that protest planned at the media city  and that “the brotherhood’s members that are going to participate in this protest only represent themselves !!”

Last time I heard that the brotherhood’s members were going to represent themselves only and not the MB was on 24 January 2011.

The big shots and MB spokespersons swear that they respect the media and so on, no one of them spoke on why Misr 25 TV channel has accused the Egyptian Christians of standing behind the attack against the MB members in Mokattam.

Misr 25 TV : Christian protesters

To be accurate the MB’s official TV channel said that Half of the protesters are Christians and the other half are Pro-Mubarak regime supporters !!

BY the way blaming and accusing the Christians were a main theme on Friday among the MB members and Islamists in a sick way. Today we found them sharing a photo of some protester doing a victory sign in front of a torched bus during the Mokattam’s clashes claiming that he was a Christian based on what they thin a cross tattoo on his wrist !!

The MB and FJP officials are completely silent on this unbelievable incitement.

Breaking : Arrest Warrants issued in “Mount Battle”

The prosecutor general office has announced from short time that arrest warrants have been issued against activists Alaa Abdel Fatah , Ahmed Douma , Karim El Shaer ,  Hazem Abdel Azim and Ahmed Eid. According to the arrest warrant , the five are banned from travel.
The prosecutor general also order to request the interrogation of Nawara Negm.
The 6 activists are being reported by allegedly a number of political figures and parties “Mainly MB and Islamists” to the public prosecutor and are being accused of inciting violence , destroying properties and attacking people. There are 4 CDs with videos, screenshots from their social media accounts and photos prove their guilty in calling people to torch down the Muslim brotherhood’s headquarters and killing MB members.
Yes there is a new arrest warrant for Alaa , it is unbelievable !! Alaa has broke all records by having arrest warrants in time of Mubarak, SCAF and Morsi !!
There have been leaks regarding these warrants since early morning and we are expecting even more warrants. “Not less than 100 warrants actually”
There are online calls urging these names not to surrender to the prosecutor general. Already Karim El Shaer has announced from short time on Facebook that he will not surrender to the prosecutor general’s order because he does not recognize this prosecutor general. El Shaer believes that this order proves that Morsi’s regime was walking on the same path of Mubarak and that he will continue to fight till it is downed. El Shaer was arrested during Mubarak’s rule by the way.
By the way I would like to know why there was no arrest warrant or investigation issued against the MB official filmed at the Presidential Palace for the illegal detention and torture of Egyptian citizens on December 5,2012 at the presidential Palace.

 Updated

Nawara Negm commented on the decision on ONTV channel from short awhile ago saying that she will not go to the interrogation and she does not care about imprisonment. Already both her parents were from the most famous political prisoners in time of Nasser and Sadat.

Nawara Negam said on her twitter account that Morsi's actions now remind her of President Sadat in his last days.

Now Alaa Abdel Fatah has issued a statement on his official Facebook page announcing that he will head to the prosecutor general officer's tomorrow because he does not want the Police to terrorize his wife Manal or their baby son Khaled despite he believes the warrant is an evidence the corruption of the prosecutor general and bis bias to the Muslim brotherhood. Tomorrow Abdel Fatah will demand an investigate judge following the ministry of justice to ensure neutrality. Now there are leaks that the arrest warrants will include tweeps and so on. For this Egyptian tweeps have launched the new hashtag "We are calling for burning down the MB headquarters" Yes , they are calling for burning down the MB's HQ. In less than 4 hours the hashtag attracted more 1,190 tweets. Tomorrow Alaa Seif and Ahmed Eid decided will head to the prosecutor general's office downtown Cairo at 12 PM. Alaa's family will be with him. The activists are planning for a stand outside the prosecutor general's office at the same time. Now here is an interesting legal view from prosecutor Kareem Sallam about what the prosecutor general's decisions. People are wondering now if President knows about today's prosecutor general's decision especially after his speech yesterday where he hinted about "those responsible for chaos" to the end of his talk including "Exceptional measures" . People also wonder why the MB has announced its general mobilization too on the same day.

Going back to the old #FreeAlaa hashtag

I think we are going to use after all the old "#FreeAlaa" hashtag. He went today to the prosecutor general's office with his wife and baby son wearing the white clothes of temporary detention.
First of all Ahad Soueif , Alaa Abdel Fatah's aunt has translated his statement published on his official FB page in to English. Here is the translation as she published it on her official FB page.

I've decided to go to the Prosecutor tomorrow mid-day, for I will not expose my wife, my son and my home to the practices of the Police if they decide to carry out the detention order.
The order itself is proof of the corrupt nature of the case and the bias of the Prosecutor-General towards the Muslim Brotherhood and the Office of the Supreme Guide.
I have never failed to respond to a legal summons, even when it came from an institution whose legitimacy I did not accept - like the Military Prosecutor. The only explanation for the detention order, and its fevered announcement in the media, is that the Public Prosecutor is instigating the Police and the followers of the MB to act with violence towards the accused. Tomorrow, therefore, I will demand that the investigation be carried out by a judge so that we can be sure of a level of neutrality, since these accusations are directed at political opponents of the MB - the MB to which the Public Prosecutor belongs.

I am not scared by the jails of the despotic state, and I will not exchange being a man unjustly accused to being a fugitive from justice. I will not give the authorities an excuse for cheap melodrama when they detain me to satisfy the followers of Mursi and his Guide's thirst for repression.
I leave it to my comrades in the revolution to judge the correct response to this paradox: four months have passed since complaints were filed accusing leading members of the MB of supervising torture at the entrances to the Ittihadiyya (Presidential Palace) - four months with no investigations, yet the Prosecutor rushes today to investigate the events of this Friday at Muqattam.
Finally: "Stop! Whoa! It's the Guide that makes him go!"

Second here is the protest held in solidarity with Alaa Abdel Fatah outside the prosecutor general's office.
