In Tunis 3 dead and 28 injured after hours of clashes between Salafists and security forces at the US embassy. Already a Tunisian counter terrorism squad along with US Marines managed to secure the US ambassador and get him out from the complex. The Salafists along with alleged members of radical Hizb El Tahrir members in Tunisia managed to replace the US flag in the embassy with the Black so-called flag and to set fire in some building in the embassy.
The Salafists also set the American embassy on fire. It is worth to mention that from watching the live broadcast from Tunis in Al Jazeera Mubshar no one can deny that the Tunisian security forces seemed to be slow and clumsy in a way that surprises me. Here is a clip filmed inside the embassy.
The Salafists in Tunisia have become a true violent threat and a burden on Al Nadha Islamist government “The MB branch in Tunisia”.

Moving to Yemen , clashes continued between angry protesters and security forces. The US Marine have arrived to the country to protect their diplomatic commission in Yemen. Now we speak about Yemen , US and Al Qaeda , I believe it has more to do with Al Qaeda and its militants in the country than some offensive film most of the Yemeni protesters have not seen. It is worth to mention that the Yemeni Pro-Revolutionary Facebook Pages criticized the storming of US embassy and the looting that took place !!
Real protesters won’t do this , the whole scene is insulting to Islam by all measures. Now government sources in Yemen accuse Houthis as well the supporters of Ali Abdullah Saleh of standing behind the storming of the embassy. Already I can not find a connection between Houthis and Al Qaeda as the first is a Shiite radical organization sponsored by Iran but I know there is a lot of shit going in Yemen beyond some film almost nobody in Yemen knew about before 9/11 this year. Today thousands went protesting against the film peacefully for real in Yemen.
Despite Yemen is highly armed society , it people have been protesting for days now against the film in several areas of the country peacefully in numbers more than you can imagine it. The fact that the supporters of Ali Abdullah Saleh were among the protesters at the US embassy is interesting because we got the same thing in Cairo.

Moving to Sudan which got the biggest share of jokes unfortunately today as protesters torched German and British embassies before torching the US embassy in very dark comedy scene.
Now we speak about Sudan , we can not ignore politics here as these protests are permitted in the first place by the government and I have noticed in the video footage from the protests that “The Public defense troops”which popular groups following the Sudanese regime were transferring the protesters. Of course my words seem to be strange because the security forces dispersed the protests allegedly killing one but what I am saying is based on the testimonies of Sudanese activists who know how things are in their own country.
It is worth to mention to that El Bashir is going to visit Cairo later this month. Another test for Morsi is coming in the way. Needless to Say El Bashir is the biggest insult himself for Prophet Mohamed “PBUH” and Islam with his crimes against humanity.
Moving to Lebanon and God knows what Lebanon is !!! In Case you do not know one protester was killed and 15 policemen injured in clashes between angry protesters and security forces in the city of Tripoli where there is huge concentration of Sunni Salafist groups. In another dark irony , these protesters set KFC and Hardees's on fire !! Today the Pope is paying a visit to the country that instability is part of its characteristics especially lately.
What is happening in Egypt,Tunisia, Yemen , Lebanon and Sudan got nothing to do with Religion or Prophet Mohamed “PBUH” , it has to do with politics from A to Z using the oldest trick in the book : Religious emotions.
Strangely nothing violent taking place in the Gulf or Morocco or Algeria or Jordan today.
These violent protests give the impression in very critical timing that the Arab Spring has failed which is untrue and that Arab Muslims should be ruled by dictators who send Islamists to jails which is also untrue. Each of these protests in those countries should be dealt as separate case in order to know what is going on for real in a logic way aside from the fact that they are just angry Muslims.

Syrian cosmonaut Mohamed Faris released a video statement as a renowned public figure in Syria addressing the army, pilots , rebels , El Assad regime and Russian people. I found this video online 12/9 so you can imagine why I did not post it.
Faris sends several messages in this 2 minutes:
To the Syrian Arab Army : To stop killing the people and stand with them.
To the Syrian Arab Air forces : To stop their raids against their own people
To El Assad regime : Just leave
To the Free Syrian army and the Syrian people : To continue their struggle for freedoms and he is already one of them.
To the Russian people : “I lived with you years ,I know how much you were looking for freedom. Please stand with Syrians”
Mohamed Faris in 1987
Faris went to the space among a Syrian Soviet program. He was staying in Russia for two years where he was trained for his big space moment. On 22 July 1987 he was on the board of Soyuz TM-3 heading to Mir station where he stayed for nearly 8 days before heading back to earth.
One of his children is named Mir after the Mir Space channel.
I do not think that someone spoke to the Russian people directly from Syria.I hope that this can be featured in Russian media ,at least the Russian independent media.
Faris fled to Turkey last August 2012 where he announced his defection from the Syrian air forces. In statements to Okaz Saudi newspaper , the former Cosmonaut revealed that he tried to defect 4 times before the FSA managed to get him out of Aleppo. Faris also stated to the Saudi newspaper that it were for him , he would go and bomb El Assad’s residence as air fighter. Interestingly he added that El Assad regime chooses the air fighters to bomb the rebellious cities based on sectarian basis and that most Sunni air fighters are being detained in air bases.
I wish to Faris play a bigger role in the future of Syria seriously.

Today marks the 30th anniversary one of the most horrific massacres or rather genocides in the history of the Arab world in the 20th century, the Sabra and Shatila massacre in Lebanon. Not less than 3000 Palestinians including women and children as well elderly and animal were killed in 36 hours by the Lebanese Phalanges with Israeli approval and support.
Up till this moment the rights of those civilians have not been restored and the real war criminals standing behind it are free like Samir Gaegae.I can not forget or forgive Mohamed Abu Hamed , this hypocrite bastard who forgot himself and kissed Gaegae’s ass calling him an inspiration to the Arab revolution !! What inspiration that war criminal presented to our revolution !!!! The only inspiration he represented is the inspiration he represented to El Assad’s regime and its brutality when I think about it this bastard criminal !!
Of course Eli Hobeika was assassinated after he was ready to testify before a Belgian court Ariel Sharon’s role in the massacre if you remember.
30 years have passed and still there is no solution for the Palestinian refugees since 1948 , in fact now their right to return has become debatable, Well the West must know that Palestinian refugees have got no home except their own home in Palestine. There is no way to solve the peace process peacefully except by recognizing this right and to work for a solution. Part of the reasons of Sabra and Shatila is the refugees problem and Israeli leaders’ daydream to find the Palestinians either killed or find a substitute home. What happened in Jordan in 1971 and the Lebanese civil war is an example that this solution will not work and to make it short the Egyptians are not going to give Sinai to the Palestinian refugees either.
That massacre is engraved in the memory of my generation in the with the hysterical screams of a Palestinian woman in front of the cameras “Where are the Arabs ?? Where are the Arabs ??”. A question that remains unanswered till this day.

Yesterday a little girl , a Christian girl from Harasta , Reef Dimshaq called Adele was killed by the snipers of El Assad after returning from church.
Despite as you can see the snipers and slayers of El Assad regime do not differentiate between Sunni or Christian ,I have to say the more Sunni kids are being slaughtered in cold blood , the more the future of minorities specifically the Shiite and Alwites will be in danger. The minorities have to take a stand now against El Assad otherwise we will have another Balkan scenario. You can hear it in the videos , El Assad played sectarianism perfectly !!
And so Israel has failed today in sabotaging Dr. Ahmed Zewail’s big project in Egypt !! At least this is what famous TV host Ahmad El Muslimani hinted out in his TV show on Dream TV2 tonight as part of his comment about what happened earlier today at the disputed Nile University premises. “Israel is fighting Dr. Zewail’s project , his university which will launch Egypt’s big scientific project !!” This is what El Muslimani said in his TV show today.
I do not know what Israel has to do with the struggle of the Nile University and students up till this moment but I know that Mubarak’s speeches writer is using the anti-Israel feelings to create sympathy with Zewail and his city for technology in the cheapest way ever !!
Strangely Zewail was awarded in Israel the Wolf Prize in 1993 and his views does not reflect anti-Israeli sentiments at least in the West !! I can not stand these double standards.
I do not know how we foiled Israel’s big plans in the region and its war on Egyptian scientists when the security forces dispersed the sit in of the Nile University students by force in order to enable Zewail and his city from the buildings of the disputed building premises. NU Students were dragged from the NU campus using force in front of their families and friends by police forces including some who are being arrested and will spend the night in detention pending investigation !! I do not know what victory it is !!
On Sunday the court ordered the evacuation of the NU Students to the premise after their “#OccupyNileUni” and to transfer them to Mubarak City for science and technology “MUCSAT” in the Smart Village !!
Strangely on Saturday in a TV show on Al Nahar channel Minister of higher education Mostafa Mosaa said that the students of NU can use the buildings for another year until they find a permanent solution.
Despite what happened small number of students continue in their sit in in front of the university refusing to leave up till this late hour.
Among the prominent figures we find some of President Morsi’s advisers taking a stance in solidarity with NU including Ayman El Sayyad and Ahmed Seif El Dawla. The statements of Ayman El Sayyad on Twitter already made headlines tonight in Egypt.
Speaking about President Morsi , from two days ago a man called Ahmed Soliman came to the NU sit in introducing himself as the president’s envoy and according to the students he said contradicting statements that no one can understand exactly ; whether the presidency and the government is with the NU students or with Zewail !! For instance he says that the government wants the university to become a national one because national universities are better but Zewail wants the university for his city !!!!

With my all due respect to Dr. Zewail but I think if he is committed to his project for real without any fear he would be in Egypt and in the location with no fear like those NU students and professors. I feel that he is acting more of a star more than a scientist when it comes to his third world country.
In another significant aggression and provocation from the ministry of interior and the government , the amazing Graffiti murals painted throughout Mohamed Mahmoud Street was erased late last night by the Cairo Governorate workers in the protection of central security forces.
First of all just to remind with the murals , here is my photo gallery for the Graffiti murals painted right after Mohamed Mahmoud clashes in November 2011 and in February 2012 after the horrible Port Said massacre. They are not the best photos but it shows you a glimpse of how beautiful and artistic Mohamed Mahmoud graffiti murals were.
The murals represents iconic paintings for the famous martyrs of the Egyptian revolution like Mina Daniel , Sheikh Emad Effat , Police General Mohamed El Batran and Ultras martyrs like Anas and Karim Khozam. The murals also represented anti-military anti-police graffiti as well beautiful scenes from ancient Egyptian’s funeral processions that were found in the tombs of our great ancestors.
Now late last night we found out the workers from Cairo governorate protected by police forces are whitewashing the wall erasing the graffiti murals. I can not describe how much I feel sad now.
I think we need to know the explanation of AUC for this aggression as the AUC announced in March 2012 that it will keep the Graffiti Murals on its walls. We need to know the real reason behind this aggression on the revolution’s heritage and insult to its martyrs.
Despite the police did not want citizen journalists and photographers to film or take photos for their aggression on that amazing arts , we got photos and videos. Here was a video shot live yesterday by activist Nazly Hussein showing the workers whitewashing the Graffiti.
The amazing Graffiti started went immediately to Mohamed Mahmoud street right after that erasing operation finished and left little two paintings for the government.

There have been calls tomorrow Thursday and Friday for Graffiti artists and their supporters to return back to the street and to paint back the murals. Never the less today many Graffiti artists like Ahmed Nady and supporters could not wait till Thursday and Friday and started to flock to the famous street to paint new Graffiti murals in defiance to the police and the government.

I am so consumed with what is happening in Egypt and Syria that I do not pay enough attention anymore to what is happening in other countries in the Arab world especially our beloved soul mate Tunisia.
From two days ago while we were busy watching the Graffiti whitewash massacre in Mohamed Mohamed we found an alarming message on famous Tunisian Citizen journalism award winning website “Nawaat.org” that one of its blogger was killed by an unknown aggressor on its twitter account. The alarming twitter was sent original from Nawaat’s Facebook Page.The tweet was deleted and the Nawaat team gained control on its social media accounts.
Who wants to threat this website ?? Are they the Jihadi Salafists who are growing to be a real pain in the ass ?? Old regime or new regime ??
Of course what happens in Tunisia echoes in Egypt and honestly I feel that we face the same challenges when it comes to freedom of speech and press.
From two days ago President Morsi appointed officially General Mohamed Shehata as the new official director of the GIS. Shehata who earned fame as the man besides Galid Shalit already was the acting director of the GIS intelligence since August 8th,2012. On Wednesday Egyptians saw for the first time on TV their spymaster swearing in to office.
For most people it was not a big deal , ok here is our new spymaster for the first time appears on TV to swear in. For Morsi’s supporters mainly from MB cheerleaders it was a huge triumph for transparency forcing to Egypt’s spymaster to swear on the Holy Quran !!!
Transparency does not mean I see the spymaster swearing in to office in front of the president , transparency means that GIS sticks to the laws and releases its confidential old files according to the information act. You are not going to fool the people in Egypt. I do not want to see Egypt’s Spymaster pledging allegiance on TV , I want him to do his job as he should serving the country and its ultimate national security.
There was another team who was annoyed to see the spymaster swears on the Holy Quran , well it did not bothers me that much because other countries do it on their Holy books like the States. Already if the spymaster is a Christian , he will have to swear on the Bible. This does not mean that the GIS is now being Islamized or brotherhoodized for God sake !!!
Now there is a last team who was surprised to hear that the spymaster announces his alliangence to the President of State as part of his oath, they were surprised and shocked like me to hear him saying
I pledge my full allegiance will be to the president
The allegiance of the spymaster and any minister and any official in my point of view is not and should not be to the president of the State but rather to the president of the president of the state … to the people. The Egyptian people are the ones who brought Morsi to the office and can kick him out of it. If you are going to have a public show for the Spymaster while he swears in the office for the first time as you want to give an impression that you are establishing a new state of democracy after 60 years of military rule , you change the word “President” to “EGYPT”
I do not know but I do not think in real democratic countries , the intelligence director pledges FULL ALLEGIANCE TO THE PRESIDENT !!!
Of course the spokesperson of Presidency Yasser Ali stated that that this oath was based upon the Intelligence law issued and modified by President claiming that this the oath of all spymasters since 1971. Some national security experts disagreed and claimed that this is untrue. Well Partially it is true.
Morsi did modify the oath using the 1971 intelligence law so it would appear like that. For reminder Sadat got rid from Nasser’s men in the regime in 1971 including late Spymaster Amin Howiady in what is known as the Correction Revolution. Without doubt in democratic new Egypt this law has to be revised.
If Morsi and his brothers in Mokktam MB HQ think that they are going to control the GIS or even think that they earned the ultimate loyalty of Shehata and his GIS boys then they should wake up from their Caliphate dream to the bitter reality. Shehata can swear on thousand Holy Quran that he will be loyal to Morsi and yet he can turn against him next day whether for good reasons or bad reasons
The MB does not only rule Egypt as if they were ruling a syndicate but they rule it as a bigger version of the brotherhood. The MB does not want to establish democracy for real as, this is just a means for them to achieve the ultimate Caliphate they aspire to in the 21st century. This is their major problem and this is why they have to rethink about what they want for real because in the end according to the first stage of presidential elections in 2012 , they are only 5 million and their supporters from a population of 90 million.
BY the way Shehata is from the GIS children and it has been decades at least since the time of Mubarak that the GIS director comes from the agency itself and not from the military intelligence.
The Ultimate test for the intelligence and its true allegiance will come sooner or later when they discover some spy in the MB’s HQ working for the Mossad. The great strike day for Syria
Since the beginning of September 2012 a small group of Syrian ladies , starting with 4 amazing ladies “Louisa, Lena , Laila and Rola” began a hunger strike for Syria and its children who suffer day and night. I was lucky enough to meet with these ladies and had a little chitchat with Louisa , Rola and Leila . Now today the ladies called all the women in the world too food strike just for one day in solidarity with Syria.
Our Syrian brave ladies got these 3 demands from the world :
To press the world’s government in order to take real steps and to stop the daily massacres in Syria.
To press the international and Arab human rights organizations in to helping the Syrian refugees in the refugee camps and to help the Syrian detainees in Al Assad’s prisons.
To help the Syrian injured whom many die because of the constant shelling and lack of medical supplies. The Syrian injured case is another tragedy without doubt.
By the way many people from around the world too from Syrians and other nationalists declared their solidarity and their participation in this big day for the sake of Syria.

Today Egypt has lost its beloved original heartthrob of 1950s and 1960s Cinema star Ahmed Ramzy.
The 82 years old actor passed away after he fell down on his head in the bathroom of his house in North Coast where he used to live for a long time. The half Egyptian-half Scottish actor wanted to be buried at the North Coast too.
I feel so sad , there is no girl in Egypt that has not fallen in love of Ramzy on screen in those black and white films from 1950s and 1960s. He was our original heartthrob with open shirts and smiley face.
My favorite Ramzy’s films are Zizi’s family “I wish that I had a neighbor like him” , Ibn Hamido “with his open shirt through all the family” , Days and nights and Chitchat on the Nile.
Almost all people loved him in romantic comedies and light romantic films. He was also our favoirte bad boy that broke the hearts of virgins in films. Oh God we got generations who had crush on that man.

After huge success in 1950s and 1960s , Ramzy’s stardom faded away and he starred in cult films produced in Beirut. Even his cult terrible films were iconic in their cheesiness if I may say!!
For almost two decades he quit acting yet returned back to appear as guest star in his close friends films and TV series like Faten Hamma’s “Moon Face” and Omar El Sherif’s “Hanan and Hanin”. Already he was El Sherif’s best friend since high school.

Third his most famous interview in 1966 when he was being criticized by famous Laila Rostom for his always-open-shirt and how he wore a blue pendant to protect him from envy !! “It was given by his wife then.”
It was recorded in our pop TV culture how Rostom commented on his answer sarcastically and said her famous two words “Too Cute”. After 40 years the woman is still being asked about this interview despite she was like Barbara Walters in her time in Egypt !!
And last here is my favorite film "Ibn Hamido" , this film is an epic comedy where we got legendary stars like Ismail Yassin , Zainat Sedaky, the amazing Hend Rostom, Abdel Fatah El Kisry , Tawfik El Dikkin and of course our boy late Ramzy. I already learned its script by heart.
By the way this film's production budge was LE 15,000 and that beach was in Ain El Sokhna.
The MB “mainly” say it was a joke and he did not mean as he meant her opinions were hot but she interrupted him and he had to repeat it again in that way !! The MB boys of course are defending him madly claiming that we are all going to hell and that he is better than all of us !! Of course if the minister of information was Non-Islamist minister , they would have considered him a rude womanizer infidel. “imagine if it were Amr Hamzawy !!”
Others say that it was just a blunder and he did not mean any sexual harassment from any kind , he is just an idiot who does not know how to speak. Well indeed he is an idiot who does not know how to speak to the media internationally and he is the minister of information. This is even much more dangerous than a minister who can not control his hormones !! How can I have a minister of information representing my country worldwide who does not know how to speak or act properly !?
I wish that he apologized on air , at least he would set the record straight and in fact he would be respected more.
I know Salah Abdel Maqsoud was chosen by the Muslim brotherhood to head the ministry of information in order to control the National TV , this is something I know and I am sure of personally according to sources I trusted. There were big names proposed then from Maspero Children who got experience in press like famous Hamdy Qandil but unfortunately the MB insisted on Abdel Maqsoud as their men in Maspero to control the News sector which the brotherhood believed that it was fighting the president. Abdel Maqsoud is a MB journalist who got a history in the Islamist newspapers as well long career in the journalists syndication. The government promised that he will be the last minister of information.

Splits threat Al Nour Party .. and Bakkar gets married !!
I understand why the splits of Al Nour party should be a front page headline and issue but I have not got the slightest idea on why Nader Bakkar’s marriage would be a front page item at all or his photo along his bride on the first page !?? Nader Bakkar is/was “it is up to which front we are speaking about in Al Nour” the official spokesperson.This is not the society page for God sake !!
Bakkar’s marriage is only relevant to the topic in a very small way. He is married the daughter of Bassam El Razaqa , a leading figure in the Salafist calling “Borhami’s front” and that he married on the same day Abdel Ghafur fired him from his position as official spokesperson of the party.
Bakkar is not the Prince of Upper Egypt or the King of Egypt last time I checked as the only man I can recall to have his wedding’s photos posted in the Front page was King Farouk along with his family pre-1952 !!!!!
Unfortunately this front page will be recorded in the history of Al Akhbar as one of the worst front pages ever !!
This is a state-owned newspaper which means it is funded by the taxpayers’ money.
BY the way I do not like what is taking place in Al Akhbar Al Youm press organization , I mean I do not get how Akhbar Al Adab claimed in its issue last week that Karl Marx converted to Islam before his death in a huge insult to the readers and their knowledge !!
The people of Aleppo are not asking the world to save them anyone , they lost hope in the people but they are asking the world to save their history. The fight now between the Free Syrian Army and Syrian Arab army is in the old Aleppo which has been declared by UNESCO as World Heritage Site. The people are asking the world to press both fighting parties to move outside this year.
Already many sections of Al Madina souq was destroyed in the fight. Allegedly 600 to 1000 shops are in that soup.

Emad Abdel Ghafour has ratified the decision of the Supreme committee of the party to dismiss Ashraf Thabet and other members from the membership Supreme committee of the party.
This decision was presented officially to the Parties’ commission . It was followed by this tweet announcement

The dismissal of Nader Bakkar from his position as the official spokesperson of the party and appointing Mohamed Nour and Yousry Hammad as official spokesperson instead of him.
Hammad also became the vice-president of the party. Nour was already the spokesperson of the party less known than its big star Nader Bakkar who could not ignore this tweet alone. “The news is not true !!” Bakkar tweeted !!
Bakkar was to be married on that day , the poor guy knew from twitter that Abdel Ghafour kicked him out !!
and then comes the mother of all surprises, the climax of this drama

!!!!! dan dan dan dum !!!!!!! Abdel Ghafur is accusing Borhami and those men he kicked out from their positions in the party of cooperating with Shafik during the elections thus betraying the revolution.
In few hours Yasser El Borhami on Dream TV 2 dropped a bomb on air after being confronted with Ahmed Shafik himself : He did visit Shafik. More shocking details for the Salafist began to pour with no stop : El Borhami and Ashraf Thabet met Shafik before the announcement of the final elections round offs’ results. It seems that the Salafist calling wanted to secure its position and its party in case if Shafik won. There is nothing wrong in this but hiding and denying it.
Of course logically Abdel Ghafour knew about that meeting all that time then why he announced it now !!? In this way ?? Needless to say there is talk that he met Shafik too. I was not shocked because I know the Salafist Sheikhs like El Borhami are deceivers who used to work with State security
People felt lost on last Wednesday, Emad Abdel Ghafour dismissed those who dismissed him !!!!!
The two fronts war was reflected on the social network accounts of the party. We got now “@alnourpartyeg” ,the official twitter account that follows Abdel Ghafour and his front where as the official website of the party and its official Facebook page follows Borhami front !!! Contradictory statements and interviews as well TV debates and confrontations, it was a circus.
Up till this moment Bakkar swears that the twitter account of Al Nour party is hacked by former members of Al Nour that have been fired recently !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now we got two Nour Parties literality , one that follows “Borhami” and the other follows “Abdel Ghafour” and both parties that are fighting for recognitions. Who will win ?? I do no know , the upcoming days will only tell without the dirty revelations coming by second proving those Salafists are dirty politicians with my all due respect to them. It seems that all odds and logic are in favor of Yasser El Borhami and the rest of Salafist Calling group after all it is religious based party and they are their spiritual leaders. I do not need to tell you that both parties use religion and Sharia with testimonies from Sheikh x and Sheikh Y that each of them is right and the other is wrong !!
According to the Parties law , the Parties committee following Shura council should freeze the second biggest party till it sorts out its issues or in this case its shit !!!!
Many people felt that there is some of State security’s smell here as bringing down promising political parties during the Mubarak’s regime like what happened in El Ghad party , Al Ahrar party and Al Wafd Party if you remember. Still there is no state security anymore not to mention there is no Mubarak regime. Some are blaming and accusing the Muslim brotherhood of standing behind this crisis as the MB wants to get from its closet rival in the Parliamentary elections especially many speculate that MB’s Freedom and Justice Party will not be lucky like last time.
Despite this can be true I have many doubts about this assumption. I will explain in another day and another night insh Allah.
The documentary included very rare footage and photos I have not seen before. It also ignored his fight with Sadat and what happened later in his life.
Anyhow this 8 minutes documentary was better than this 1 hour crap produced by the GIS !!
After the return of El Shazly to Egypt and doing his sentence , he met with Chief of staff then Magdy Hatata asking him to meet with the commanders of the army then in order to share all his experience just in case in the future he will not be there.
El Shazly met with the commanders and Hatata and shared all what he believed those commanders need to know from his experience especially in 1973. I wonder if those commanders shared this info to the new commanders currently in control of the army. In fact I wonder if we have a new El Shazly at all.
He was scared that we would repeat his mistakes in wars once again.
In his last days sometimes he would be awake enough to understand what was going on. His daughter , pro-Revolutionary Shahdan told him about Tahrir square and our revolution.
El Shazly died on February 10,2011. At the same day he was buried in Egypt's land he vowed to protect Mubarak stepped down.
May Allah bless your soul El Shazly.
By the way did you know that Shahdan El Shazly , the daughter of the late general was the first and only Arab living woman to have a full training of paratroopers !?? Oh yes she did after all her late father was the founder of Egyptian paratroopers forces in 1954.

I support the Egyptian doctors strike and I pray for its success because I know as a citizen I need this strike when I speak about my rights in better health care in Egypt. You must know that this is just a partial strike “for 12 hours per day” in public hospitals following the ministry of health in Egypt excluding the emergency unit and neonatal units. The strike is controversial and I am afraid that the media is not giving the whole truth , the whole image for the public. The media does not tell the public that the starting salary of the doctors starts in Egypt from LE 300 "about $50" and the medical hazards' allowance is LE 20 !!!!! The media does not tell the public that healthcare in Egyptian's state budget is considered from the lowest worldwide , it is 4.8%
Those doctors standing behind the strikes are the doctors working in the public hospitals following the MOH who got no private practices and who do not work in the private hospitals. Actually the doctors who are standing against the strike are mostly those working in the private hospitals and private practices with big price tag. Already imagine if we have a real healthcare suitable for humans in Egypt , imagine how much they will lose.
About 50% of the Egyptian people can not afford to be treated in private hospitals or clinics what so ever. Do you know that many children die in children
The doctors in Egypt have decided to have a partial strike in Egypt in the hospitals and external clinics of non emergency cases following the ministry of health alone starting from October,1st , 2012 In last 21/9/2012 Doctors’ general assembly held a meeting in the doctors' syndication and reached to the following :
The universities, police and military hospitals are excluded from the strike. Private practices and private hospitals are also excluded.
Securing the public hospitals against the thugs' attack.
This just the first step of escalation.
This strike is for the following demands :
Increase the portion of the state's budget allocated to healthcare from 4.8% to 15%
Better the quality of healthcare service presented in the Public hospitals.
Increase the minimum wage for doctors and medical teams "including nurses"
According to activists online the estimated numbers of hospitals following the ministry of health participating in this partial strike is 540 hospitals.
Yesterday the Doctors’ strike committee which oversees the strike held a small press conference which I attended where they shared the latest development.
According the Doctors' strike committee the strike is 100% successful while the ministry of health announced that it is a big failure !! "I believe the doctors and now the ministry as usual !!" There is high rate of participation in the public hospitals following the MOH that reached in some governorates in the past 48 hours between 90%-100% while in other governorates it reached to 80% and 70% "very few according to the data the Strike committee receives in its chamber at the doctors' syndicate from the strike coordinators in the 27 governorates.
We are speaking about a strike that seems to be successful in governorates like Alexandria ,Qena, Minya , Luxor , Suez, Port Said, Kafr El Sheikh, Gharbia , Fayoum, Behaira, Cairo , Giza, Monufia, Bani Sawif, Asuit,Sohag, Dakahlia, Sharkia , Aswan and Marsa Matrouh.
By Dr. Mona Mina said that some fever hospitals are excluded from the strike as fever hospitals are considered emergency hospitals.
Dr. Mona Mina , the famous activist revealed that there have been violations to the general assembly's order to strike from some hospital managers and old doctors from specialists. In several cases the managers threatened the doctors and force them to break the strike.

The Socialist Popular alliance party , Strong Egypt party and Al Wasat Party are considered from the few parties in Egypt that announced its full solidarity and support to the strike. Dr. Abdel Moneim Abu El Fotouh and Hamdeen Sabbahi also announced their support to the strike.
April 6th youth too announced their solidarity and covered it in its website and Facebook page.
Human rights organizations also supported the strike like the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights, El-Nadeem Centre for the Rehabilitation of Victims of Violence, the Association for Freedom of Thought and Expression, Cairo Centre for Human Rights Research, the Egyptian Centre for Economic and Social Rights and the Arabic Network for Human Rights Information.
Some of the Muslim brotherhood's doctors on the other hand including some young doctors violated the decisions of the general assembly and have been working in the public hospitals.
Dr. Mona Mina said in the press conference many of the young MB doctors participated and joined the strike insisting this strike is for the benefit of all Egyptians regardless of their political affiliation. Mina added that the specialist doctors were the ones who violated the decision of syndicate’s general assembly , whether they are MB or not.
Dr. Ahmed El Sanuri, a doctor working in Abbasiya psychiatric hospital in Cairo revealed that the psychiatric hospitals are also participating in the strike but in their own way due to the nature of their work. Again emergency unit is working while other sections work for one hour only with old patients where as new patients will be admitted to the hospitals on Thursday.

You must know that the Doctors’ syndication board is being dominated by the Muslim brotherhood and despite being supportive to doctors’ strikes in Egypt before the revolution they are now standing against it. In 2008 the MB was totally supportive the doctors' strike and movement , why it is different now !!?
Of course I can not forget how a FJP reporter asking Dr. Mina and her fellow doctors in the strike’s committee about whether the strike is legal or not based on laws issued in time of Atef Ebeid’s government. Needless to say when he identified himself as a FJP reporter the whole room exploded in to laughter !!
During the presser activists and lawyers Haitham Mohamedeen and Ahmed Abdel Aziz were there and the famous Revolutionary socialist lawyer Mohamedeen answered that FJ paper reporter and told him that according to international treaties and laws doctors can go on strike and that Egypt recognizes these treaties and laws.

The healthcare in the Egyptian state budget currently 4.8%. The presidency promised to raise it in the next budge by 14% after a meeting between the Doctors’ syndicate board and President Morsi last week.
The legal coordinator of the strike Dr. Ahmed Shosha told me that they do not need promises in the air , they need clear timetable with all their demands.

On the occasion of the 6 October 1973 war anniversary President Morsi has awarded both late President Sadat and General Saad El Shazly today the Order of the Nile, Egypt’s highest state honor after decades of neglect.
Morsi awarded late General El Shazly the Order of the Nile for his role in 1973 according to Presidential decree No.238 after nearly 35 years of neglect and neglect. El Shazly was awarded by Sinai Star but it was taken during Mubarak’s era. The family of El Shazly received the order of the Nile , his wife Mrs. Zeinat and his daughters.

Morsi awarded Sadat both the Nile order and the Star of Honor which is the biggest military order in Egypt after 30 years. Anwar Sadat’s son Gamal Sadat received the honor alone and he was so touched to the level I felt that he was going to cry.

I am not surprised at all. He believes that his father being recognized after 30 years of neglect. I am shocked that Sadat did not have the order of the Nile.
I wonder if El Shazlys met with Gamal Sadat and if they did , I wonder how it went !!? Ironically both men are honored on the same day despite their fight. Of course some El Shazly’s fans especially from Nasserites , Nationalists and even some Islamists are shocked on how dare Morsi honored the two men on the same day. Most of Morsi’s opponents from Sadat’s supporters wondered how he would honor the guy while he and the Muslim brotherhood did condemn his assassins but rather set them free in reference to Gama’a Al Islamiyaa members “who actually were set free , at least those directly convicted in Sadat’s assassination in time of SCAF” and extremists in general.
I believe it was a smart move from Morsi , he won many people today from Sadat’s fans “mostly from couch party” and from Shazly’s fans from “Pro-Revolutionaries”.
Tonight both families are truly happy and I am happy for them and for those two men. Let’s stop debating for once.
